V8X - ch10

Whilst i was watch sandown i taped the new show on CH10 - V8X. Another waste of time. The woman they have got on there has no idea and just looks totally stupid. I did think the funniest thing was when she was at Winton asking the spectators who their favorite driver were, she came up to one bloke and he said "er i dont know , i just come to look at the chics" (sic maaaaate). It was a real indication of the callibre of spectators at V8 meetings these days.

Also on RPM Dill Woods was interviewing Neil Bates and Coral Taylor abiout their new corolla rally car. He says to Neil when will you be testing. Neil answers "we wil be driving it for the first time tommorow". Dill then starts asking Coral questions and comes up with "so have you had much time in the car yet to get used to it". What a moron

Mt - why would the show be any different to the Magazine? It is aimed squarely at the 'red blooded racing male' (publishers words when it first came out, not mine) and hasn't really gotten an better since.

Red Blooded Australian Male -

Sounds like Penthouse to me - any naked women??

Mount, what's wrong with the guy that only went to the races to check out the chicks? At least that is entertaining, not like the V8's this year.

It is always a case of 'different strokes for different folks'

They are just catering to a certain market, nothing wrong with that

I taped it as I was watching the 500 but I'll get around to watching it eventually. Sounds like this program might be aimed at the yoof market ?

Well I say no, but I am female so does that count?
I sort of enjoyed the show, it shows another side, not sure if it is a good side or not, but different anyway.
I thought that certain segments should of been a bit longer, and some not there at all.
I mean what was the point in the bit with Rod Nash and Anna putting a wheel on???????

The female host was that annoying Anna Pinkus woman...she had her own show on Channel 7 for about 3 weeks last year. Some dating show where they'd grab people off the street and make'em date. Isn't she some Melbourne radio personality ?

As for the show...um...yeah...well it was in colour which is always a plus. I dunno...might take a couple of episodes to get into a groove. The constantly repeated V8X wah wah guitar music got heaps annoying though.

I'll give it a few more veiwings.

You know all about that dating show Bucky... go on, admit it, don't try to hide! You stalked Anna Pinkus (that sounds like an unintentional porn star name) for months trying to get on the show....

Yeah, at one stage when she did the gauntlet with forbsey, shes like if i had of known i wouldn't of done my hair like a poodle, you couldn't see her face the whole thing, it was just curls!! I agree the segments need to be longer, some were that short by the time it started it was over! Hopefully it will improve, and maybe I can put in a resume to take over anna's spot! lol

ha, I remember buying that magazine for the first (and only) time. Pure drivel, maybe five pages thick, it was hopeless.

I was talking to Neville on the weekend, they intend to make some segments longer and cut out other parts.
As for Anna she is staying. He said he doesn't want someone who knows all about it.
Even I offered.

If he doesn't want someone who knows 'all about it' then it's obvious where the program is heading - and popularity isn't included...
