Plum Pudding Car Races - Mallory Park, December 26
In case you haven't already seen elsewhere, the BARC Midlands Centre are again organising the car races that form part of the Plum Pudding race day at Mallory Park on Boxing Day. As last year there will be four races - two for Caterham Graduates Club and Academy cars, and (more relevant for this forum) two for open single-seaters up to 2.5-litres.
The races will be run in capacity classes, and qualifying and two races (with the grid based on qualifying times this year) all for a bargain entry fee of just £100. Details can be obtained via Noreen Ward. Contact details here: http://www.barc.net/regions.htm#midlands Who will be supporting this great event? |

Hope that:
1. its warmer than last year. 2. the BARC borrow the Rockingham jet blowers in case that there is ice on the track 3. they don't do grid positions drawn from a hat under any circumstances |

1. Hopefully.
2. I think the cost of doing that would be somewhat prohibitive, unless you don't mind an increase on the entry fee 3. They're not going to (see above). I'd like to think that this year there will be better co-operating, with the cars going out ahead of the bikes to qualify if it is safe for cars but not bikes... |

I'll be there - but which hat I'm wearing depends on whether the new pit lane has been built or not!

Time to move this one back to the top.
A reminder that there are two races at Mallory Park on Boxing Day for an entry fee of just £100. This includes a 15-minute qualifying session. This is one of the most well-attended club meetings anywhere. Any single-seater up to 2.5-litres is eligible, and the races will run in capacity classes. Any Monoposto, F4, Jedi, FF2000, FFZetec, FF1600, Vee, FRenault, FBMW, etc is eligible. If you would like further details, please send me a private message. |

It looks like I'll be going, but as a photographer. Hope my camera is ice-resistant!
