British GT Championship Oulton Park

The British GT Championship hits Oulton Park this weekend and it looks like we are going to be in for 2 more cracking racing.

In the GT will it be another win for GruppeM's Porsche 911 driven by Jonathan Cocker / Tim Sugden or will the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 360 driven by Nathan Kinch / Andrew Kirkaldy challange for victory.

Other cars that should be challanging at the the front - the 2 JWR Porsche's or can the Ultima spring a major suprise.

Not forgeting that the TVR's and the Molser will be there or there abouts too, not forgeting the Xero Corvette.

I really hope that the Embassy Racing Corvette has more luck than it has had at the last 2 rounds where they have had major engine trouble.

As well as the GT's, there is the GT Cup which looks as if it wide open again.

There are 2 races over the weekend one tomorrow and one on Sunday. I will be on site on Sunday and I can not wait, it should be good.

Warren Hughes is in the GruppeM car with Cocker, as Sugden has a prior race commitment in the USA, which gives Cocker a great chance to be sole champion.

Yup, the VW Cup race was halted to allow the emergency crews to attend - Well done again to all the marshals who responded so quickly too - Mercifully the pilot was OK

Actually Dave, Graham is technically correct, we were looking at bringing the start forward by 15 minutes when the reds went out.

I was in the middle of informing the teams at the time. We actully started the race on time.

Lets call it a draw! either way it was an excellent display by the marshals and everybody walked away - I rate that a good day!
