PEUGEOT 905 EVO2 Elleray technical analysis
well, I don't know if you already read it but it's a very unique car and Peter Elleray was very kind to write a technical analysis about it, comparing with its Le Mans winner Bentley Speed 8 2003 :
I hope you enjoy it, that's here : http://www.gurneyflap.com/peugeot905evo2.html |

So I'm presuming the Evo 2 came after the '93 and '93 LM winning 905 Evo?
Why did it not race? or did it? |

The Peugeot 905 is absolutely one of my favorite race cars of all time. Great piece of discussion. Were any laptimes ever published for this last evolution of the 905?

It wasn't worth the effort to develop the car just for Le Mans, the '93 WSC was scrapped. |

Hi, thanks for the positive comments, it wasnt too hard to say yes when Remi asked, its one of my favourite cars, along with Tony's TS010. We might do another one soon.

yes, the EVO2 ran in private tests (Le Castellet) and during practice at Magny Cours. Alliot did its flying lap in qualification with the EVO 1. During its tests the EVO 2 was not faster than the older car.

Hello Peter, your first post here, hope there will be other ones
How did you find the Mercedes C291 with its flat engine, what a strange choice with big tunnels ? |

Wow, Peter Elleray is also reading the forum.
Congratulations with the Radical. It surely is very fast and the nicest LMP car of the moment (I also like the new Courage). Let's hope the car can reach the finish. |

Great article. Does anyone know of any online video resources including this car? Or any of the 905's for that matter. Be great to see it in action - sadly I missed some great cars like this (it wasn't until GT1 was well and truly up and running 3 or 4 years later that my sportscar interest really took off).

It is interesting the number of things that are different just because of the regulations, rather than evolution.
Aswell as the suggestion that in the old 3.5l days they weren't so bothered about drag. |

happy you liked the article, all the credit goes to Peter who is an excellent writer (see its article about Coupe for Le Mans 2010 on last Racetech magazine issue). Another article will be released on a mysterious Gr C car, next month, but this time it will be written by me, sorry boys but you will still have the photos.
