Talk about beauracratic nonsense - being fined because the garage doors weren't fully open!!!!
And people with an interest in seeing teams get on with racing are being subjected to this rank stupidity. God help anyone seen picking their nose!!!!! BTW, is the "IPO" on a cut-of-the-action - 10% would be fair return on a weekend's snooping. Mike Last edited by mmciau; 21 Mar 2005 at 09:04. |

Im surprised there isn't the Tander and Wills' turn 8 incident mentioned on that list.
Does anybody foresee Tander getting done for "bringing the sport into disrepute" as is the done thing these days? Last edited by twig; 21 Mar 2005 at 09:13. |

Ch 10 mentioned the the HSVDT cars were late being pushed to the pit apron but there was no investigation into this, even if this was incorrect why was this not investigated?

This is an exercise on how to bring a sport to it's knees. Fining a team for not having the garage doors open for christsake!!!!
I can't believe this, I am getting very disillusioned. |

How about AVESCO fining itself for starting the Top 10 Shootout before verifying that the track was actually clear.
Or fining itself because it doesnt know its own rules and caused and unnecessary drive through and loss of positions for Team BOC, because they should know that a crew member standing standing behind the pit line holding a fire extinguisher ISNT classed as one of the 6 people working on the car. |

i know that no penalties were handed out for this but.
WTF investigating someone for "not appear to satisfactorily engage reverse gear after a spin/hit into the wall" what the hell is that supposed to mean. |

It was the Course car driver who cleared the track, not a fault of AVesco's.
The firey standing over the line was a track firey, so yes they screwed up there. I noticed another team got done for 7 people over the line, I wonder if that was a track person also? |

The $30K fine to Westpoint is ludicrous, and must surely count as one of the heaviest fines handed down in the history of V8SC's. You can get away with endangering another person for a third of that!!

I also noticed that Reckless Kelly incident late on Race 1 also didn't rate a mention even though it caused a 3 car pile up in the process.

It seems the TEGA/AVESCo mob are following the NASCAR lead... they used to become bilious at the sight of competitor caps on the drivers on the podium, the placement of sunglasses, of branded waterbottles and all sorts of other junkorama that impolite words were often shared, and indeed a fine or two im place.... this happened in NASCAR not so long ago too, something about an official drinks sponsor for the series wanting a driver (sponsored by another brand) to drink from their water bottle. Its a little obsessive... As was a $30k fine for getting a photo taken.... |
