MARSHALS WANTED! JCC/Tophat Meeting October 10th

The JCC and Top Hat Racing are once again organising the TOP HAT race day at Mallory Park on Sunday October 10th.

This was a superb meeting in 2003 and this year promises to be just as good!

I need marshals of ALL disciplines to make this happen - particularly Observers, Flag, Incident, Pit and every other duty!!

If you can help out on the day please EMAIL ME with your name, address, phone number and preferred duty!

FYI - Racing this year comprises of:-
European Historic Touring Cars
Sportscars
Sebring Challenge
GTA Challenge
Cloth Cap Race
OBG (Oldies But Goodies)
Best Of British

PLEASE check your diaries/fridge doors and if you're able to help - get in touch!

Thanks

Mark Mitchell
Chief Marshal - JCC Racing

You have mail!

A great meeting, good racing & organisers & drivers who really appreciate the efforts of the marshals.

The only meeting where I've had a driver apologise for the inconvenience he'd caused us by going into a gravel trap!

Hmm. 4 replies, 4 magnets. Are we sure this is a good idea!

Will be nice to put faces to a couple of names. Where will the 10-10ths meet-up be?

Post 1 if Mark is to be believed - he has enough marshals for one post!

You'll need it matey, Melanie and I are both at Donington (sorry).

One question, possibly off topic; Isn't it a bit daft to have two historic car meetings on the same day within 30 miles of each other?.....

Quite!

At the moment I have just 11 trackside marshals - this is including Observers & Flaggies!!

Not looking too promising at the moment!

Thanks to all who have either returned the volunteering slip or emailed me to volunteer for this meeting!

I know some of you may have already volunteered for this via Fay Crook and hopefully I will get this list soon, so the numbers may be bumped up a little!

But the difference is, one's at a decent, friendly motor racing circuit and the others at donington................

Lee, Mallory is closer than you think. It's pretty much motorway all the way and a great circuit when you get there.

Well the numbers are looking a little better than I previously thought!

What I will be asking though is that some of you might be prepared to do a little "Extra" than normal!

By that I mean if you're a flaggie then you might be required to "Take A Report Pad" as well!!! (Like at Donny!!)

At present (Wednesday) I have enough incident/course personnel to man the circuit, BUT I still need more!

So if you were thinking about it, but had not yet made up your mind, then please say yes and let me know!

Unfortunately, I can't accept PM's as I'm on a PC in the local Library and I don't know when I'll be next on here but you can email me at mitchell.racing@cwctv.net

Thanks again to all who have already volunteered!

OK, I'll see what I can do, I won't know till closer, due to work, Marshaling at Castle Combe the day before, and doing a track day at Silverstone 2 days later (driving, not Marshalling, so god help me!) so I may be pretty well worn out!
Lee
P.S. Will I get a sig on my upgrade card for the event?!
