I guess since DJ didn't win a pole last year he figured he had better get it out of the way early this year. And what better race to win a pole than the Daytona 500. His teammate Ricky Rudd finished on the outside pole to make it an all Robert Yates front row. Could this be the next superteam in NASCAR? I guess Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart has something to say about that.

The Daytona 500 is one of the greatest races in the world. The last 10 laps is a chess match and I can hardly breath normally every year as it all plays out at the end. If the Bud Shootout is any indication, we have much to look forward to next sunday.
