2007 V8SCFC: Round 14 Phillip Island
Sod GT & Jamie - the action was all here! Top Ten at PI Crooks Motorsport (StuiE) 118 2 Dazz Motorsport (Exceler8) 105 3 Scuderia Cavallo Ferro (Antrodemus) 104 4 Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) 102 4 Goldfinch Motorsport (R2J2G) 102 4 RS Motorsport (Suttory) 102 7 Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 100 7 Jacko Junior Racing (Jacko44) 100 7 Team Green Bean (Peckstar) 100 7 Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 100 7 Gotta Race (billybanana) 100 7 Budget Action Racing (Dazz) 100 7 Total Team Red & One Other (Harves) 100 7 West Surrey Racing (00 XR8) 100 Barring the Bahrain round, because you can't get any good growth in 3 days, Crooks Motorsport have carried their retro '70's porn star looks to a Movember double! The lightning finish to the season also gained Stuie a tie for most round wins in the season, with 2. Congrats to Magnum PI lookalikes Jamie Whincup, Mark Skaife, Lee Holdsworth and Shane Price! Hard Charger Award West Surrey Racing's 5 place gain was the only significant last-gasp movement up the ladder, so earneth the Hard Charger. Biggest Loser Award The last-round pressure really told on Power Charged Racing, who apparently forgot to plug the batteries in, and Lego Racers, who simply fell apart. Both teams suffered a 5 place fall and the final Loser award for the year. Final Standings (last round & margins in brackets): (1) Scuderia Cavallo Ferro (Antrodemus) 1284 (2) Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 1277 (-7) (4) Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) 1254 (-30) 4 (4) Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 1246 (-38) 5 (3) Brendon Engineering (Pro Racer) 1241 (-43) 6 (6) Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 1218 (-66) 7 (7) BlueBlood Motorsport (BlueBlood) 1210 (-74) 8 (9) Australian Motorsports (Chatters) 1150 (-134) 9 (8) Team Tiger Racing (carma) 1146 (-138) 9 (10) Eagle Motorsport (Biggy G) 1146 (-138) 11 (11) Team Chaparral Racing (TCR-028) 1097 (-187) 12 (12) Pinnacle Motorsport (marcus) 1095 (-189) 13 (15) Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 1081 (-203) 13 (15) Gotta Race (billybanana) 1081 (-203) 15 (13) Squadra Darkness (Razor) 1080 (-204) 16 (19) Crooks Motorsport (StuiE) 1068 (-216) 17 (14) Rombles Racing (Rombles1) 1065 (-219) 18 (18) Jacko Junior Racing (Jacko44) 1057 (-227) 19 (17) Chrysler 101 Racing (M-Kart) 1056 (-228) 20 (20) Team Green Bean (Peckstar) 1048 (-236) 21 (21) Snap Crackle Pop Racing (Oaksnaf) 1038 (-246) 22 (24) 05 Racing Forever (adz_34) 1018 (-266) 23 (22) Phoenix Motorsport (Helix) 1007 (-277) 24 (22) Team Liquid Motorsport (liquid drano) 1003 (-281) 24 (25) S.L.U.T. Club 27 really made them work for it though, finishing just 7 points away from a successful title defence. Hayden Craig Motorsport managed to hold off Below Average Racing for the final podium spot, while Brendon Engineering slipped to fifth. Team Bourbonphone crossed the line to take sixth, followed by BlueBlood Motorsport, Australian Motorsports, Team Tiger Racing and Eagle Motorsport rounding out the Top Ten. |

2007 Season Awards
2007 Season Awards
The Yoyo Award - for appearing in the Hard Charger or Biggest Loser column far too often Hazzard Motorsport (redrag) Team Liquid Motorsport (liquid drano) Hazzard Motorsport placed 4 times in the Hardest Charger and once in the Biggest Loser, but only ever won the Loser award. Team Liquid Motorsport were truly all over the show, with three appearances and an award in each. Hardest Charger - 2007's demon overtaker Australian Motorsports (Chatters) When they were good they were very, very good - Australian Motorsports two Hard Charger awards were for gaining 24 and 22 places in a single round. Rombles Racing also won this award twice, but they spoiled it by also getting a Biggest Loser. Biggest-est Loser - you don't need a car to play in the sandpit Total Team Red & One Other (Harves) Red Bull Autotechnica (HRT433) Power Charged Racing (WebberforWDC) Team Mousemat Racing (nickyf1) All of the above 'won' the Biggest Loser once and also placed in the Loser category once, except Total Team Red & One Other, who despite earning the Biggest Loser award and two placings, sullied their record by sneaking into the Hardest Charger once. Series Third Place and Rookie of the Year Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) All over the pointy end for most of the season - 6 appearances in the Top 5. Series Runner-Up Club 27 Racing (woodbine) Defending series champion, fell short by the narrowest of margins. By my reckoning Woodbine will also get the prize of one year's free subscription to Ten-Tenths, since I don't think I'm eligible for prizes anymore. Series Champion Scuderia Cavallo Ferro (Antrodemus) Third championship title, to go with those won in 2003 and 2004. 2007 Trophy Cabinet (Wins-Podiums) 2-1 Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 2-0 Crooks Motorsport (StuiE) 1-2 Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) 1-2 Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 1-1 Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 1-1 Scuderia Cavallo Ferro (Antrodemus) 1-1 Australian Motorsports (Chatters) 1-1 BlueBlood Motorsport (BlueBlood) 1-1 Chrysler 101 Racing (M-Kart) 1-1 Total Team Red & One Other (Harves) 1-0 Eagle Motorsport (Biggy G) 1-0 Kmart Racing (Matt_015) 1-0 Gotta Race (billybanana) 1-0 Lego Racers (DarthFalcon) 1-0 Red Bull Autotechnica (HRT433) 1-0 Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 1-0 Team Liquid Motorsport (liquid drano) 0-3 Brendon Engineering (Pro Racer) 0-2 Dazz Motorsport (Exceler8) 0-2 Rombles Racing (Rombles1) 0-2 NNR (Niki51) 0-2 Team MVMotorsport (MattV) 0-1 Snap Crackle Pop Racing (Oaksnaf) 0-1 Squadra Darkness (Razor) 0-1 Team Tiger Racing (carma) 0-1 05 Racing Forever (adz_34) 0-1 Bahodietek (bahodie) 0-1 Budget Action Racing (Dazz) 0-1 Team Chaparral Racing (TCR-028) 0-1 Team Green Bean (Peckstar) Thank you all for another excellent season - I'll be back next year and I hope you all will be too! |

Australian Motorsports- 2007 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship Hardest Charger winners! Big, BIG thanks for Antrodemus for running this over the season. Look forward to seeing you in 2008! Just think, without those two 22 and 24 place gains I would finished 54th...! |

Hey Antro, what happened to the golden turbo award for hardest charger and the dented lead bonnet award for biggest loser?
Congrats anyway Antro. Another down to the wire finish. Congrats Chatt's for the taking the enforcer crown and being the hardest charger. Squadra Darkness will be back to challenge for the 2008 V8SCFC. |
