Couldnt find a 2022 post for the "Road to Indy" ladder series...

Quick points update after Road America...

Indy Lights Series
Indy Pro 2000 Championship
US F2000 National Championship

Thanks. Some observations:

1) decent(ish) number of drivers in all three series this year

2) Lundqvist top of the table in Lights, but we really all want to see Sting Ray Robb in IndyCar, right? Just for his name.

3) I haven't been following closely, but it seems to me there are a lot of unfamiliar names in Pro 2000 and USF2000 this year... new blood, or have I just not been paying attention?

And HMD will add on, 5 in house and 1 for Global Racing Group again. With an eye to adding another Indy car with DCR and possibly their own full team.

I always wondered why there haven't been more entries with the decent prize money and guaranteed races in Indycar for the winner.

As the dominate teams in Indycar, I think Penske and Ganassi not participating in the feeder series reflects badly on them. It shouldn't be up to Michael Andretti and Dale Coyne to carry the Indy Lights series with no other participation from other Indycar teams. Lights is an interesting and entertaining series on its own. Penske in particular has a history of cherry picking drivers and crew that other teams have found/trained. It's way past time that the top teams committed to the feeder series.

LOL, you might want to check who owns Indy Lights and who has been pumping dollars into it.

Weirdly they took the idea from the WWE, but I guess Es are expensive. And WWE is still smarting from losing their F in lawsuit

Thread bump!

Jamie Chadwick got an Indy NXT flag-to-flag win at Road America.

She was utterly dominant in reality,. firm when needed, took on a late red flag and simply pilled away, she is class she really is. Possibly one of the most important results in British racing history, you never know, let's hope the fitness she has worked so hard on this year really helps her take this on more.

Chadwick did win a British F3 race back in 2017, from reverse grid pole. She had a handful of other top 5 results that year also. I’m not sure the years driving round at the front in W Series helped her in any way other than exposure. I suspect it hindered her development as a driver.

Anyway, she needs to follow this up with consistent top 5 results in Indy NXT now. We’ll see.
