Max. He drove a solid race but it was that move at Turn 1 to take the lead and ultimately go on to win.

Verstappen. Did exactly what was required, right from the start.

Kimi, four races to go and he's still bringing in points. Isn't phoning it in for his last few.
Gasly also deserves a mention. Max is another level at the moment. |

If blessed to not cop a penalty is your criteria then there would have been a few races this year where you voted for Mazepin.
Agree though.1136 corners in the race and if he had done that at 1135 of them he would have been penalised for sure. See can of worms opening. |

Norris for making some kind of prgress through the field.
I could have voted for many drivers who did not do anythign wrong and finsihed well, but nothing stood out as interesting or exciting. Let's forget this happened. Next race please. |

Max and with Pierrre Gasly getting a very honourable mention, not for the first time this season.

Perez. He did pretty OK, and the Mexican tifosi seemed happy.

Gasly for me. Good strong race. Not Max, as he was effectively gifted the lead at the start by Bottas. He'd have won anyway, such was the superiority of his car at this stunningly boring race.

Well in that case it has to be max. When has any other driver driven for two teams yet still won the race?

It was hard to find someone really doing something exceptional in this race.
Ricciardo did loose the race, as Max was winning it. If you are fighting for third in the constructors championship, and you know the top four are going slipstream crazy into turn one, you do not go for a gap and try to be involved! That was incredibly stupid to do. As a McLaren fan it hurt me seeing that. Ferrari are at the same time too stiff in their strategic decisions, as Carlos should have been let by at the first opportunity. He was catching Gasly when they finally let him go. A good thing for McLaren he did not, I guess. I am afraid Ferrari seem to undervalue Sainz. Gasly did well. He started high up the order, stayed out of the mess at the start like Ricciardo did not, and then just hauled in good points. He is the best candidate for a vote from me. I was happy to see Alonso, Vettel and Raikkonen up in the top ten and I am tempted to vote for Sebastian just for that. Max did a good job, but after being smart at the start he did not have to do much, did he? Well done Checo as well, to take the fastest car and put it up there in font of the home crowd. Finishing just behind a seven time world champion is not a bad result. Norris did a good job to get some points, but as he said it was all they could do. Workmanlike, but extremely important. My vote goes, in lack of someone that actually excite me, to Gasly. |

Perez
It was a walk in the park for Max after T1, Perez actually managed to put pressure on Lewis so fair play to him for keeping Mercedes penned in. |

I voted Gasly as well.
Verstappen had it too easy at the front. Hamilton never really seemed "on" this weekend. Perez did well but should have been 2nd. Ricciardo ruled out himself and Bottas. Norris just didn't make enough progress IMO. etc... |

Kimi for solid points once again in a beater car.
Honourable mention to poor Bootas. He was simply supporting Hamilton by allowing him to take the lead. Both of them were outbraked by Max and caught by surprise. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk |
