Combe GT's
Hi all,
this is my first post so be kind!! Combe GT's again had a poor grid for Sunday's race, Would it really be a good idea to keep it for next season??? Atleast Mr Sinclair in his mighty Jade tried his best to make it interesting - lapping everyone up to second place, and in only 12 laps! |

Perhaps the other competitors have been put off by the fact the no close racing will happen when they turn up at castle combe.
I'm not sure why anyone would find a race car just lapping the entire field interesting ? Also if they reduced the entry fees perhaps we might see some more entries as i'm sure running a GT car is not cheap |

I dont think anyone at combe should question the fees there. out of all the brscc meets thats the cheapest at 165. your right though is very very zzzzzzzz

Nope not complaining about entry fees, cheaper is always better but looking at the other places I have raced....well combe is a Bargin.

To step into that car and do the times he was doing was great to watch. The circuit however, is attempting to generate more entries, see http://www.racecarnewmedia.com/castl...p?ArticleID=39 Perhaps a rethink on the class structure would bring in some more cars? |

I remember a couple of times a VW Golf tried to enter as it had been modified to GT class....but I was told they kicked it out. Doesn't really encourage people trying to enter the championship without a radical or jade etc.

It would be nice to see more saloon based cars too, such as the old thunder saloons - the rover SD1's were always popular (whether many still exist is a different matter - it would be interesting to know!).
What about reverse grids - good or bad idea? it would surely increase the spectacle but how much would safety be compromised?? |

I would of thought that if a VW Golf can run in the British GT's, it ought to be acceptable for Combe GT's.

I believe a rethink of classes will occur over the winter.. no details available yet though.
