If ballast remains then Mercs are to be 20kg heavier. It would be an easy Sunday walk for Eki. Scheider is no longer Audi first pilot, since a new car has more oversteer.
PS. At the official site forum they are dreaming of GT2 regulations for DTM. And BMW unveil a new eco sportscar this September. It's mentioned that R8 LMS is going to be the main market rival. So, Mercedes should build CLK AMG, put Schneider at the wheel at Le Mans and we'll travell to the neighbours from 'sports cars and GT' forum. I hope. |

So in the interest of the DTM Ekström drops 2 pts. in the championship. Taking one for the team.
Sorry Helgi, you've lost me on all the rest of that, in translation I'm afraid. Those forums are all German to me. 20kg! forget it. |

With the idiotic new first corner at Oschersleben we will see the race decider right after the start in a first lap/first corner incident.
In the past the the circuit preferred the Audis a bit over the Merc's. If DTM wants to go along GT2 they can close their doors and move to Fia-GT or LMS which I wouldn't mind really as the current cars ain't tourers anyway |

Out:
Di Resta Green Paffett Engel Winkelhock Schumacher and only one Merc (Spengler) in top-8 - extra 20 kg cost a lot. They say about 0,3 sec per lap. |

I think it's a bit Audi track. Especially third part. There're some IV-gear corners - fast enough for Audi's aerodynamics to work.

I'm afraid Tomczyk will loose his third place for Eki at the start and try to block Spengler. Maybe even to heavy contact. I think they will make two early pit-stops for Eki to make his car fast on fresh tyres while others 'Abts' will loose time on their first long stint. It would help to move Mattias into the lead or second place without team-orders. I hope Gary will show some action climbing into top-5.
