As above.

Well that's one seat settled...will Liuzzi and Klien share a ride again next year?...Good way of training up drivers...more teams should do that with number two drivers who arn't really in the frame for the title yet!

Could you be hinting at Taku and Ant there Rennen? Will you be at Silverstone this weekend? If so, pop round to Abbey and say hi if you have a spare moment.

Good news - DC has brought a lot of experience to Red Bull and they're reognising that.
It seems they'll pick either Klien or Liuzzi to drive the other car full time next year. |

On current form Klien would make more sense, but Liuzzi deserves to get a second run in the team later on. Good to see that DC has adrive for next year - few would have expected him to do so well this year, and it's turned out to be a great deal for both parties.

Hopefully Klien will get the second seat. He's been comprehensively more impressive than the ever-so-slightly-dissapointing Vitantonio Liuzzi.

I'm a little surprised, but DC deserves another year as he is at least partly responsible for an unexpectedly good season by the RBR team.

Good move by both DC and Red Bull. With a new engine package they need someone with his experience to help extract the cars potential. Glad he has not got himself in the musical chairs that will exist at the end of the season. They can now concentrate on having a good finish to the season and planning for next. I also hope they sign Klein for next year as i think he has proved that you need a second season to show what you are able to produce. I think Liuzzi would benefit as their 3rd driver for next year, if they have one. Problem is of course to many drivers and not enough seats.

An amazingly sensible move from Red Bull, considering their current driver strategy and reluctance to sign DC in the first place.
Coulthard has done more than enough this year to be rewarded with a contract extension and I'm glad he's got it. Liuzzi would definitly benefit from having a full season as 3rd driver, mainly because he's nowhere near the quality of Klien at present. |

Smart move by Red Bull. I'm surprised the competition wasn't stiffer to get him.

It was certainly logical to continue his employment, but its one year nature may suggest that he is not in their longer term plans. Perhaps it is the other way round, maybe both?

Bad news for Speed. Besides, they should have waited a bit before making the announcement as DC needs to be kept on his toes with plane crashes, etc. in order to perform.
He is a nice guy but, with all due respect for his fans, he was successively outpaced by all his previous teamates (Hill, Hakkinen & Raikonnen). Part time & far less experienced and not so talented Klien is also pretty close to him. Anyhow, I wish him good luck. |

I suspect DC himself may want the one-year rolling deal too. |

On the topic, I think its fantastic that Coulthard has renewed his contract. I think he's been marvellous since joining Red Bull, and I suspect he'll continue to shine in the Red Bull Ferrari |

Great news for DC, and smart move by RBR.
I can see him having a Brundlesque career, lending the benfit of his talent and experience to many a team. Although, maybe the days of that kind of career have passed? Too much competition for seats? |

Although he should have won many. One of those talents lost in the wilderness, like Johnny Herbert.
Although, DC hasn't won the Le Mans 24 hours and Sportscar World Championship! hehehe..... |

My comment wasn't a knock on Brundle - I rate him highly - but it was just praise for DC.
