Photographer in need!!
I know this isn't strictly motorsport related but as a photographer looking for help, this seemed like a good place to start.
I am currently putting the final touches to my Uni degree project and I want to print my image onto sheet metal. Does anyone here know of any places I could contact? I'm thinking of roughly A3 sized images. Feel free to PM me if you wish Thanks in advance, Olly |

Contact ICL imaging in Birmingham, they are the best photofinishing lab I know and deal with all sorts of output.

Don't those custom car boys project an image on the side of a van and develop it ?

Depending on your needs for durability, quantity etc. I'd look at one of the systems which print onto a thermal transfer sheet (by laser printer) and you then iron that onto the metal (or anything else).
For example: https://sslrelay.com/s163003116.onea...dex.shopscript (No connection.) Regards Jim |

Focus on Imaging have LOADS of people that will do this. If I get time later I'll see if I can find anyone's details from last year. I didn't get to this Feb's one.
One place in particular treated ali sheets, to look like canvas, or just about anything you wanted, then treated the image so it was weatherproof. Dunno if this was them, but this is from a quick trawl through FOIs website. http://www.berbatech.com/2008/ FOI site: http://www.focus-on-imaging.co.uk/exhibitors.htm Good luck. |

Thanks for all your suggestions so far, I have been practicing with waterslide decal paper just to see what works and what dosent but I want something a bit more professional looking than that.

The place next to my little studio does that kind of thing. I'm not up there until next week but if it can wait until then I can get you the details

Thanks. All I need to know is how much an A2 sized print would be and how long it would take.

http://www.horizonsisg.com/products/metalphoto.asp Is this the kind of stuff you were looking for? I used to 'dish develop' images on to metal some years back Last edited by Kelvin; 26 Apr 2008 at 22:40. |
