gp19 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Jacques Villeneuve: As usual as soon as he knows that he will not bet Pains he goes of the track, spinout, or just parks the car blames anything but himself. So I think Jacques Villeneuve is going down the drain, he lost the magic touch he never finishes a race. In addition, I think that his courier is finish, he should hang his skate. Alternatively, lose his attitude and start using what his father gave him guts. Come on Jacques we are all counting on you to be a world champion again? I know you can……..

Let's see, he was 0.136s slower than his teammate Olivier Panis, who usually does well in Brazil. Well, oh my, his career must be over! Anyone who is that bad shouldn't even be in Formula One!

ok sarcasm over.

Jacques just has a bad car and a good teammate. I believe he had a good teammate back in 1996 too, and they got along fine producing one of Williams' best season's ever. Panis and Villeneuve have been close in every quali this year, so if BAR can get the car I think they would easily be the best pair in F1. Unfortunately, that has not happened this weekend and they are down in 11th and 12th.

The better question is, "Bar: Is this the end?" I am sure JV wishes he was still with Williams.

As the season is at its second race BAR have no points and Honda will start giving there best engineering to the better team. I think Honda will start to give more support to Jordan.
Craig Pollock ((An extremely disappointing race for the team. We will put this one behind us and look to improve in Brazil)). He said the same thing 2 week ago, Come on Mr. Pollock less bragging more action.

Jacques Villeneuve((I started to slide into the gravel trap. I am disappointed but when the weather changes like that it's a big gamble and it really didn't work out today.))Stop giving excuse and start driving more like the Pro your suppose to be .

Olivier Panis: Sorry for the oil line that broke. However, Look for yellow flags, and stop speeding in the pit. And more on the racetrack.

All of the Bar team have a lot of give But they need a Boss who s going to be a leader and the more I look at it, Mr. Pollock is not that leader.

Jay, I agree completly with you, the bigger concern is with BAR. Honda will not be happy about this latest result...
11th and 12th? This is just not acceptable at this point in BAR's developement. Honda will almost certainly be supplying just JORDAN next year. The other possiblity is that JV could be in a Jordan seat next year... From what I understand Honda are very fond of JV and want him to be the "driver" that brings them back. Honda could give a right toss if JV does this in a BAR or in a Jordan.

There is something fundamentally wrong with that BAR car and I honestly do not believe that they have the personal in place to correct it. Such high expectatons were placed on BAR to win right off the bat. Mostly by the team itself. It is hard to believe that they have only been racing for 3 years. Having said that look at Jag. They had all the bits in place to build on the Stewart success. But have found every possiblity to crumble the team. BAR will have success this year but it will be too little to late unless they can have a string of top notch performances in the remaing rounds. Do I think they will do this... Nope.

While BAR's improvements over the last year or so have been encouraging it simply has not been enough. I like to think of myself of a realist when it comes to F1. I try not to support a team/driver with ignorance. If the team is doing sh@t or the driver I will call it. BAR is doing (sound of fart please), JV is competing but is losing that edge he had while with Williams. It is only natural. You lose long enough you become a loser. You win you are a winner. The simple fact is JV is not a winner and he must leave BAR in order to become such. Ron Dennis won't give him a drive because of JV's policies on sponsor work, Ferrari, well... Williams, Patrick Head would love to have JV driving again but Williams have a wealth of drivers that can and will win for them. So that leaves EJ and Jordan. As far as I am concerned it is a no brainer. JV+HONDA+JORDAN=WINS.

You might as well say Mika is losing it; he's in just about the same position as Jacques is.

But I do think Jacques is in the last year of his chance to make this BAR thing work. Next year he'd better walk, and make sure he gets to a car and team where he can show his stuff, or some 19 year old will have his car.

In my eyes Olivier always was one of the quickest in F1...it's no wonder if he beats Jacques. And Jacques wasn't used no more to strong teammates. With Zonta he didn't have any problems....sorry Liz....I think Zonta is great but not in F1.

If he walks and the car becomes good he is left looking silly. No I think he is doing the right thing and seeing it though. TGF done it at Ferrari, JV hopefully will do it at BAR. What has he to lose ?? No places at Ferrari, Williams or Macca.

Maybe his best hope is if TGF retires and no 27 becomes available, then watch the Tifosi..........

Yeah...even if i consider the 27 also Alesi's number, not only big Gilles's. Jacques in a Ferrari, i'd love to see the reaction of the tifosi. Jean and Jacques both in a Ferrari in the same season...wow...only thinking about the reaction of the tifosi at Imola gives me a thrill...lol.

There is a rumour (or was) that TGF has a clause in his contract that he can leave if he wins 2 consecutive WDCs. Supposedly, JV's contract stated that if the team did not perform to his expectations this year, he could leave. There will also be available seats at McLaren and Jordan.

There couldn't be a better time to jump ship.

I agree JV and JA in a Ferrari as team mates, talk about dream team. Sparks would fly, Tifosi would go manic, 27a 27b......If only.

Everybody sais how bad the car is and how JV's career is coming to an end. But what is so
atrocious about the results. He qualified 8th in Melbourn and 7h in Malaysia and simply had bad
luck during the races. Sure he only qaulified 12th today but it's normal for all teams to have a bad
week-end every now and then. I don't think that this is anything unsusual, or that it means that
JV's career is coming to an end any time soon.

It can't always be bad luck. And if Olivier is running at the front, when Jacques has the whole team in his pocket, it can't always be the car.

But I think he's got one more year. And why would Ferrari take him and not, say, Kimi or Alonso, who will work cheaper and be around a lot longer?

As far as Zonta goes, we will see when he gets into the Jordan. You remember what wonders EJ did for Alesi's confidence? You'll see.

It might be that JV has but a year, all we were saying is imagine JV and JA in a Ferrari, same team, same time.

Ferrari fans would wet their pants at the thought. I doubt that wins would total more than DNF's but the thought of two hard charging red mist drivers in red cars evokes thoughts of good racing....

Just dreams thats all....

I saw the warm up, frightening how slow the Benettons were again. Also bizzarre that Gaston was faster than Jeannot...obviously Alesi must have had a tecnical defect...lol.
Panis shows that he's quicker than Villeneuve on this special track...anyway his talent is as big as Jacques's.

4. Panis BAR +1 lap 7. Villeneuve BAR +1 lap I wonder what was the problem this time, was Panis to close for comfort as usual. If he had stayed in on lap 12 instead of crying about nothing, he would have points for the team Wright now!!! Good luck to Mr. Villenuve with 0 points on Sunday 15 April (San Marino GP)

Remember, Jacques did make one more pitstop than Panis did, but then Panis had to wait for Villeneuve the second time, however, at the time Panis was still ahead.

He did have a good start, moving from 13th to 6th in the first 3 laps.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Jacques, he had a **** weekend. He had no help from the car, and he didn't help it either.

After seeing the results in Brazil from BAR I think Jacques's career is far from over, in fact it is being reborn. The BAR is faster than the Jordan as Panis and Villeneuve proved today, and the only reason Jacques wasn't in the points and ahead of Panis was because he got unlucky and had to come in because of the tire puncture. I think soon once BAR stop having this string of bad luck they will be constantly beating Jordan and Jacques will be pleased with the results and thus Honda and JV with stick with BAR. Then Honda will get their act together and provide the best engine I am sure by next year and Honda and Williams will be the two teams fighting it out in 2002. JV will be world champ by 2002 or 2003 or I swear I will eat my ten-tenths hat.

I wouldn't worry about Jacques at all. His differential broke after his early pit stop, and he had to drive the rest of the race with a very lose car.

Putting that into perspective, 7th is a great result. Most drivers just retire when that happens.

Indeed a very good result by Jacques when we consider these problems, and Olivier made BAR the highest placed Honda team today as well, so well done to both of them!

Even Jacques said that Olivier should have been on the podium. Apparently there was a radio problem, and he came in at the wrong time, and the mechanics were still servicing Villeneuve.

Still, BAR have to happy that for the first time they appeared to have the upperhand on Jordan.

I believe BAR has been faster than Jordan all along this season, and the only reason they are not ahead of them right now is just because BAR has had some bad luck.

Remember that in Australia Jacques was trying to OVERTAKE Ralf when he ran into him and Panis was faster than both Jordans in Melbourne placing 4th but only to be penalized down to 7th because of overtaking under yellow flags. Then in Maylaysia they both got caught out in the rain before they had a chance to show that they were faster than Jordan there as well. And finally today Panis once again proved they have the faster machine, with Villeneuve hving more bad luck. That said Jordan may be ahead in the constructor's championship but Honda knows BAR has produced the faster car. Jordan has the real work to do if they want to keep Honda engines next year.
