Still owned by GM and waiting for a buyer. I assume it is physically at Pratt & Miller, GM's contracted race team operators, along with C6R-007 and C6R-008.

Above - 003 ran at Mosport and ..
Below - also replaced 005, the seriously wrecked Magnussen Petit car, at the final 2007 race at Laguna in this ...ummmm.... unusual livery:

The following C6.R cars are assumed to be at Pratt & Miller as of 2007-10-26:

003 - Lotsa miles in 2006 and 2007
005 - Wrecked remains?
006 - 2007 ALMS GT-1 Champions car
007 - Built early 2007 but apparently never raced
008 - Built early 2007 but apparently never raced

Do you suppose they are planning a clearance sale?

Kuismanen/Menten/Palttala drove one chassis in 2006 during the Donnington LMS race under #70. Which one is that?

Thanks. (I suppose the cars they regularly show at the Corvette stand during motorshows are dummies...I saw #64 in Geneva in early 2007 and Paris in September 2006)

Most likely C5R #012, GM's initial test chassis that had a C5-R platform underneath and C6.R bodywork on top.

Some new facts have surfaced concerning "C5R-012" and C6.R show cars in general:

1. C5R-012 was renamed C6R-012:

2. Additional C6.R show cars have been built using early C-6 (non-racing) test cars:

More HERE.

PLEASE, anyone who gets near a C6.R show car, shoot any identifying numbers that you see. The Pratt and Miller C5R-012/C6R-012 numbers require opening the drivers door. Do NOT try this without permission! The "EX" number is near the base of the left side windshield wiper. Please shoot and share!!

I know there was a C6.R on display at the Indianapolis 500 near the museum, and as far as I remember it had the VIN number on the windshield. Not sure if it is the one you pictured. I didn't get any chance to look for a chassis plate though.

Very nice, I'll see whether there will be one at the Essen Motor Show at the end of the month.

The chance to see a GT1 car is much higher at the Cologne Motorsport Expo than at the Essen Motorshow. The Essen Motorshow is nearly a complete fast and furious show and not a show like it was when it was calles Jochen-Rindt-Show ;-(

well, Essen is the German equivalent to a Ricer-show (Sauerkraut-Austellung??), but it will be the first show I am heading for, next will be Geneva...(I think last year Essen had a round-up of intended GT3 cars, including the mosler and the Ascari)

I have just added a very well illustrated article about the C6.R on Ultimatecarpage.com:

It was just confirmed to me by a Pratt & Miller insider that C6R-007 and C6R-008 will indeed be the cars they run on 2008.

We know that there are 8 C6Rs! So who is going to race them this year (2008)? C6R #7 & #8, likely Corvette Racing Team Cars for the year. C6R #1 - Carsport Holland/Phoenix: for FIA GT, #2 - PSI: FIA GT or LMS or not raced? #3 was Corvette Racing back-up last year and #4 was LAA car in LMS. That leaves #5 & #6. Will one go to LAA for LMS in 2008? Anyone hear any rumors?
