Algarve - Sept 19-20
Didn't see any discussion, free practice just began. Shared weekend with the GP2 Series finale.
Schedule Entry List GT1Live.tv K plus K are skipping this event, partially due to their disqualification at Hungary. They claim they're doing testing elsewhere. Matech is also out to do further testing of the 2010 Ford GT. The Luc Alphand entry is also a no-show, their one remaining chassis is too damaged after the recent FFSA GT and LMS Silverstone races. Xavier Maassen has moved to the Sangari Corvette to serve as a 3rd driver. |

The Full Speed Saleen busted an oil pump in free practice and have no spare parts, so they've now withdrawn. That means no Saleens and only 7 GT1s for the rest of the weekend!

Wasn't the result of the Prospeed Oscherleben Appeal supposed to be this week? Anyone know what happened?

Yes, it was supposed to, but I could not find a press release on the FIA website. I'd assume they lost the appeal because the GT1 Live commentators mentioned that Collard/Westbrook were still two points behind the AF Corse guys.

Ah yes, my bad. It would help them in the team points though, they trail AF Corse by 1. But I too agree that it's not an appeal they're likely to win.

It would not be the first team the FIA has penalized one team for something that several teams were doing, based solely on which cars' results were protested.

So we have an all Corvette front row with Sangari and Ruffier 2nd for SRT and the Pecom Ferrari on pole in GT2. Hoping for a Corvette win! With seven GT1 entries one team makes up nearly half the class............ |

This is the initial press release about the appeal. Decision expected on the afternoon of Sept. 18. So they should know by now.

I think most everything else is on hold while this Renault race-fixing mess is being dealt with. The hearing on that matter is Monday.

Renault's matter is the World Motor Sport Council, not the International Court of Appeals. Two totally different divisions of the FIA.

Full Speed appears to be back, they're setting some laps in Warm-Up.

GP2 race had an accident at the start and was red flagged, so FIA GT was delayed 10 minutes.

Yes, T&S is just flat out wrong. I haven't seen a replay of Collard's loop, didn't see if he was touched. But PK, Sangari, and CRS all have had mistakes all on their own.

Live timing was first set to fastest lap, thats why the order was strange as it was the order of lap times instead of track position, now it's set to track position.
Though, what happend to Kumpen? He took 2nd, then spun out, but after that he wasn't to far away from the Maserati's, and now he is like 16 seconds behind? Did he spin yet again? |
