Looking for advice !?

Hi there guys i am usually a regular to the rallying/rallycross section of ten-tenth but have decided to wonder down here to the photography section to see if I can get some advice. I would desparatly love to work as a motorsport photographer as would most of you I no doubt guess (if you already don't)

I was just looking for some advice as to how I would take the first steps to realising my dreams. I am 26 and have been stuck in the rut of daily work I don't enjoy and I feel it is time to do something about it. You spend 90% of your life at work you may as well enjoy it.

Does any one have any advice or help they can give me of any work available with any one. Willing to start at the very bottom and work up.

I think you will find many on this forum reading your post and thinking . . . "I could use some of that advice too . . " hence the lack of replies.

One thing you need without question is talent . . do you have it ? Without talent you will not succeded even with the best equipment money can buy. The other thing I think you need to be is a salesman . . you have to be able to sell yourself and your pictures . . .

To make a start you need to be out there taking pictures to show what you can do and get building a portfolio.

Do you have a camera, do you attent events and take pictures ?
