What happened at the Mosport BEMC Race this Weekend?
I heard a throwaway line on the radio this morning that someone was killed at a BEMC race at Mosport this past weekend. I can't find any mention of this in the news on line or in the papers.
Can anyone tell me if this happened and if so, what happened? |

From the Mosport site:
We are saddened by the loss of Julio Haig following a racing accident on lap 2 of the GT regional race at Mosport this past Sunday (September 15, 2002). Our thoughts and prayers along with those of everyone involved with Mosport and the racing community is with Julio's family and friends during this most difficult time. Apparently he was from Toronto. This is all I have seen on the subject. |

Haven't got anything on the incident, but apparently he was racing this season with a Nissan 200SX Turbo
|

How sad that someone could be killed in a race and get absolutely no attention from anybody.
