Problem with Le Mans 24h on PS2

Hi Guys, I've been playing Le Mans 24h for the PS2 and I've run into a problem. I've completed all of the game except for the 24 hours of Le Mans. Every time I come into the pits and save it says the save has worked. If I then quit the game and then load straight away it works. But if I power off the PS2 and then go back into the game and try to load. It save there is no save file !!!!! This worked fine whilst in the Petit Le Mans 10 hour.

Has anyone els had the same problem, and do you know a way around it so I can save.

Thanks in advance

Funnily enough, I had this problem the other way round. I was able to complete the Le Mans 24hrs, but not the PeitiLe Mans. The saves always failed. It's frustrating enough in a 10 hour race (I still haven't had the time to do that and probably won't bother now), but it must be even more infuriating in the 24hrs.

I'm afraid I've never found a solution (other than to do the race in one go!).

Can anyone else help?

You could try saving the game to another memory card, but it sounds like a glitch in the code to me... which, being a PS2 game, can't be patched.

You could always get a few mates 'round, pack the PS2 in a box with a load of dry ice and try to do the whole thing in one go.

Leave it on lads, there isn't a fix..

I had it happen SOOOO many times.

The ps2 sure can handle being left on for a week, but just make sure its not affected by that recall on the transformer..
