2008 Merdeka Millennium Endurance 12 hours Aug 28-30 2008 @ Malaysian Sepang Circuit
Does anyone know if there is a video strea for this event? Here is some info about it. 2008 Race website. http://malaysiangp.com.my/node/1/6?q=node/1/6 Youtube vids from the 2007 race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGpDy7DbruQ - 2007 911 GT3 RSR WINNER! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMuDO...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2tie...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl0Kj2ysFqc It seems like a good event, a lot of different competition including many competitors from the Nurburgring 24 hour race. Wiki writes... Classes The race is divided into 4 classes:

Never heard of this one either, but looks like a good race. Malaysia isn't a bad track.

Hmmm hosi's Lotus.
I must admit spending time with the team and the car at the 2005 event will be one of my lasting memories. This event is underated and needs to be seen. It is like the old days at bathurst! |

Still recovering from finishing the event yesterday evening! It's quite a mix of entries, from some very well supported teams (Petronas Z4s in pictures above) to some rather tatty looking local Protons in the lower classes. There's quite a substantial speed differential between the classes, this year two very fast 911 RSRs were 4-5 seconds quicker than anything else and almost 50 seconds a lap quicker than the slowest cars. Despite this, there were very few safety car periods (but a fair bit of bodywork damage evident on cars at the end!). Circuit is excellent and well suited to such an event. Most of the entries are asian (hong kong, malaysia and singapore) with a few aussies. A control tyre (in the lower classes) and free fuel makes it pretty affordable endurance racing.
