Targa tassie
Gee i enjoyed the show on sunday arvo, did any one else here watch it ? Some great cars, on some fantastic roads and I for one was very jealous, this must be a fantastic event to take part in. I was wondering if they had considered opening it up for classic motorcycles as well ?
Anyone know ? |

Jonesy, wasn't it a great show!
I really liked the classics and the muscle cars. Particularly watching Mustangs all crossed up and right amongst it! And Gentleman Jim. What a class act. |

Saw it as well, fantastic, made me decide i HAVE to compete in it one day.
Was it me or did anyone else notice a Group B Nissan 240RS in any of the shots during the rally, just wondering how this car would have been eligible. |

Does anyone know how officials are accommodated in Tassie - all up to yourselves? or is there some sort of billeting scheme? "275-GTB-4?, yeah ya know, the Ferrari that looks like an E-Type on steroids!!" |

Just watched this last night catching up on my tapes - pity I would have liked to have seen more coverage on the Clubman cars...for some reason have become absolutely fascinated by these things.

Its an event Id like to be a spectator at, I have all the highlight tapes from the start, and of course Know the 94 winner pretty well.

I watched it too and really enjoyed it. I was glad to see a lot of different cars and people getting airtime. Targa is about so much more than just the top 3 or 5 cars. I also really liked the way they profiled each category and told the story of the event for each category. I also noticed the Nissan 240RS, I don't believe there is a strict eligibility criteria, you have to be invited,
A friend of mine does it every year in an XU-1 Torana. He said if you budget 15 grand for the event you should come home with a little bit of change. I'd really love to have a go myself, but that is way too much money for me, the logistics would also be a huge challenge. |
