Tim Busby

Former British Saloon Car Champion and lately a member of the CTCRC in Classic Thunder with his Batmobile BMW, Tim very sadly took his own life on Tuesday 5th April 2004.

For my part I always found him to be friendly and helpful. He would encourage anybody to race. The only time I saw him down was after his car had been damaged at Spa. But he was back the next year doing what he loved.

Very sad news and my sincers condolences go to Tim's family and friends.

Maisie should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Peter, that's really shocking news Although I never met Tim personally, his car was one of the best out there, and he always seemed 100% committed when driving it.

My condolences also to his family and friends.

Awful news. I only met him once (at Snetterton) when he was racing that lovely BMW. I didn't know him well but this is a big shock and I can only express my condolences to all those people who knew him well and shared races with him.

Only really got to chat to Tim last year at the Classic Thunder race meetings, he was a likeable guy who always gave his racing 100%.

He will be missed.

Being a fan of the 'Batmobile', I approached Tim a number of times at various meetings in recent years, and he was always happy to talk enthusiastically about the car. A sad, sad loss. I add my condolences to all those already expressed.
