WTCR Race of Slovakia 2019
Honda on maximum weight as compensation weight comes into play
https://www.touringcartimes.com/2019...ht-comes-play/ Car – Average lap time diff – Compensation weight Honda Civic TCR – 0.0 – +60kg Lynk & Co 03 TCR – 0.2 – +40kg Cupra TCR – 0.2 – +40kg Audi RS 3 LMS – 0.2 – +40kg Hyundai i30 N TCR – 0.3 – +30kg Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR – 0.4 – +20kg Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce – 0.6 – +0kg I still think that this is stupid, especially now when the cars are very close. |

VW back up to 60kg due to them reverting to old ECU. I wonder if the ECU change will give them as much of an advantage than the -40kg. I doubt it, but maybe they are hoping it will be the right choice 5 races into the season when ballast gets recalculated.

This race has quite different timetable, with both qualifyings happening on Friday and all races on Saturday.

We're not going to be able to see the second qualifying session live, as repeats of cycling and Superbikes are apparently more important. And it doesn't look like Eurosport are showing race 2 in the UK either, unless they squeeze highlights in before race 3.

I can see R1 on Eurosport 1, Race 2 on Eurosport 2, and R3 not broadcasted live, but one hour after it happens there's WTCR on ES1, so maybe it's a replay of that. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was a rebroadcast of first race...
All that's on Polish Eurosport. |

Either way I will probably try and find a Eurosport international stream online to watch live. On a positive note Race 1 was very good, reverse race 2 should be interesting. |

Another great race.
Strong race from Coronel. Starting at the back, finishing 10th. |

Race 2 was shown live in the UK, afterall. The listing on the EPG wasn't updated though, so my recording of it only caught the last 3 laps. Useless & incompetent coverage from Euroshit as usual. Horrendous broadcaster.
Great racing though. I really like this circuit. A brilliant weekend for the Alfas. |

The VW was the worst car this week end. And it's not only a question of weight. Now I understand why Huff seems a "normal" driver
