You forgot Robert Dahlgren will drive the Volvo C30
Has anyone got a full timetable for the weekend? MSV are still saying 'check back soon' |

Hello all, my first post here.
Bodysnatcher, do you know if there is any running on the Friday? I had planned to do all three days like last year's WTCC meeting. |

Welcome Winchester, Yep - there there will be Friday testing. But not on the GP circuit, only on the short circuit. I have no idea what will be running pre 1300
As far as the race marshals are concerned, we are covering Seat Eurocup free practice 1300 - 1330 & 1530 - 1600 Formula master free practice 1345 - 1430 & 1615 - 1700 no action as far as we are concerned (ie lunch!) 1430 - 1530, seems a bit odd afer a 1300 start to then have a lunch break |

Thanks very much Bodysnatcher. I assume the circuit has used up too many of its allocated days on the GP loop? Not sure how chuffed the Friday drivers will be at missing half the track out, but I shall be there nonetheless! It was a great weekend last year.
Who does everyone fancy for success this weekend anyway? If I was a betting man (cough) I'd have a sneaky punt on Menu repeating his success of the last two years in his 'home' race. |

I expect that will be Martin Haven's fault. Has to mend his Morris Minor during the lunch break so he can drive home in the evening

as for a winner, I'd like to see Yvan Muller do it, but given the ballast rules that I struggle to understand, it could be Jaap van Laagen's turn... Thanks for the spotter's guides Andy. 2 printed, being laminated in a mo. |

"DIESEL – All diesel cars must have the catalytic converter and the exhaust gas purification system in perfect working order, and therefore they must not produce visible black smoke at any time during the event."
Very good! The black smoke always annoyed me. It makes it harder to defend racing to greenies, even with the reduced carbondioxideemmision, when you replace that with dirty smelly black smoke. And it is better for the visibilitie and the lungs of the spectators. |

Indeed, good decision. That smoke plain and simply looked tacky. It's 2008, not 1968.

Scratch Andrey Romanov from this one as well. He couldn't get a travel visa organised in time.

More chiefly, first SEAT in 8th.
And Thommo 5th - getting a weight break for his most familiar circuit on the calendar seems to be playing into his hands. |

is the twisty character of brands the reason behind the diesels disappointment or do they now pay for running the diesel particle filters in working condition and face mapping troubles?

The Volvo had a close call in Free Practice 2, it was black-flagged before it had even left the pit garage. After some discussion between Team Manager and the Officials the car was allowed to start the session yet. No one seemed to know or wanted to say what the problem was. As the team did nothing to change the car it was assumed it was some sort of admin/paperwork issue.
I hope some of you are going to Brands tomorrow. Arrived at the car park this morning and thought I had got the wrong weekend. Where was everyone? |
