Dream WEC Calendar
What circuits would you like to see the WEC visit in 2012? Sebring, Spa-Francorchamps, and Le Mans are pretty much guaranteed. What would be good additions? Monza? The Red Bull Ring looks pretty amazing. Fuji? Suzuka? Silverstone? Brands Hatch or Zandvoort? (Just wishful thinking on those two) Interlagos? Road Atlanta? Barcelona? Nurburgring? Paul Ricard or Magny Cours?

For a mixture of practicality and dreaminess, accepting an 8 round schedule (just 'cause it's more fun), and trying to represent something like a balance of relative importance to sportscar racing:
Europe: Spa, Le Mans and a rotating race (Silverstone, Monza, Nurby, for the east Brno?) NA: Sebring, Road Atlanta SA: Interlagos A: Suzuka/Fuji, Sepang/Delhi If you'd let me have more than a bucket of dreaminess I'll toss in Daytona for #9 |

With the amount of British teams in international sportscar racing, Silverstone is probably a must...

I think we could see stronger grids if the WEC would stay more North-America-Europe oriented in its infancy. Maximum 2 races per year outside these would be great imho. Then when its strong enough, there should be more and more events. The goal would be to outgrow f1. Yeah, i know...

The same I posted on RLM forum:
1) Sebring 12h (March) [ALMS joint] 2) San Luis 2h (April) 3) Kyalami 2h (April) 4) Spa 1000km (May) *LM break* 5) Paul Ricard 1000km (July) 6) Nurburgring 1000km (August) 7) Laguna Seca 6h (September) [ALMS joint] 8) Petit Le Mans 1000mil/10h (October) [ALMS joint] 9) Adelaide 8h (November) Le Mans itself would be non-championship as I prefer it that way |

A joint calendar with ALMS, LMS, WEC, GT1/3 & Blancpain that involves no date clashes.
It is just about possible - a major sportscar race every weekend |

I suppose you have to have Sebring and Le Mans.
So that gives you six to play with. I'd prefer to go to tracks F1 doesn't go to, with the exception being Spa. Always liked Imola personally. Would throw Portimão in there, too. So that's five. Three more. I don't want to take any existing ALMS rounds, personally, as I'd rather that be separate. So I guess we'd go with Mont-Tremblant from North America. And while there's a part of me saying do the airport circuit at Cleveland, I don't think the world audience would enjoy that as much as I would, so I'll give you an equally loved and equally unused track in Portland. One left. Fuji Speedway. Would like to hit other markets, too, but in reality, I think the best audience and best circuits for endurance racing fall in Europe. I love the street circuits and short races of ALMS, but don't think that would translate well to WEC, and while we're dreaming, I don't know how big of a deal WEC would be in South America, Africa, or Australia/NZL. |

Good point there earlier. I'd like to see the WEC and Blancpain racing on different weekends or the same weekend at the same place.
There probably won't be too many teams who plan to do both but maybe a few. And for sure there are a number of top drivers who'd like to do both of these top endurance series. Somehow I tend to think that ACO and Ratel are not working too closely on this issue, though... |

Sebring
Spa Le Mans Brands Hatch Nurburgring (you just simply can't miss out Germany) Road Atlanta Interlagos Suzuka Zuhai Abou Dhabi - 500km? (not necessarily my favourite track or country but with serious promotion a grand finale here could help make the series feel really big). Would keep the traditionalists happy, the manufacturers happy and probably the drivers happy too. |

The Duration of a WEC Race will be 6 to 12 hours (except the 24h Le Mans), so 500km are too short.
