Blowers for V8 Supercars ???

Just spotted a thread on a 4WD Forum of all places where someone thinks they may have accidently stumbled onto a V8 Supercar secret.

The guy was at a machining company somewhere in Vic where they were machining a blower mount for for use in the Supercars - or that's what he was told anyway.

I find it hard to believe in this age of cost cutting they would consider adding these...anyone else heard this ?

Probably a ride car, they do stuff like with old V8 Supercars, Garry Rogers engineered one like for Nathan Pretty to use as a ride car at Winton

Some of the old engine's get sold off and in most case's end up in speed boats. The boaties like old supercar engines as they're already lightened and they don't have to go to that effort, just add blower for extra go!!
