Team Avanti question
I saw the results on autosport online, and was pleased to see the Matt Gilmore had a 7th place in one of the races, but according to them it was in a Dallara, have Avanti dumped the Ralt chassis? it would be a shame because somebody needs to come in to challenge Dallara.

yes avanti have dropped the ralt but they seem to be testing it, i think it was dropped due to not enough testing on it |

We really need a competitor to Dallara to really keep them on their toes.

I dont know if we shall ever have a competitor to Dallara. There in pole position. Ralt could not get a foothold and I think the only way there going to do it, is by a Works team. I think that Lola were considering a F3 entry? Though without a works team that might die as well?

Martini have a competitive car in the french series, and Tom's used to make very good chasis.
Anyony trying to take on Dallara is going to have to be prepared to make a very heavey investment to overcome the experience Dallara have aquired over the years. |

I don't think Martini have built a car to 2002 regs, and last 2 years it has not been very competitive. The Ralt may benefit from Andy Priaulx testing & racing, but the budget limitation may be the limiting factor. If Lola make a car, however, that could be a different story, especially with Rick Gorne in the Marketing seat and a reasonable development budget. Also the new Dallara doesn't seem to be quicker than the old one!!! Are they getting complacement? Any comments from teams out there as to how a scholarship car could lead a race and get on the podium? (Silverstone)

mixing in more chassis is actually not a good idea. It will only further confuse the issue of who's the best driver.
