This car was owned/driven by Bob Forbes. Kevin Bartlett partnered him in this car in the 1978 James Hardie. |

According to the Shannons Classic Phillip Island site Peter and Phillip Brock are both racing A9Xs on coming weekend.I'll be there again--best meeting of the year usually.
John Harvey will be in an XU1. |

And I thought that Mr Brock had hung up his helmet for good!! Didn't he have his last race at Symmons Plains in an XU-1 Torana??
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that is what I understood. He was going to do only demo drives, similar to what he did at this years Classic Adelaide Rally. |

there are certainly a contradiction or two there, though if you click on the links it's right except for the so called "INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE" DATE IN RELATION TO THE G.P.

Some like PB, some don't. He is a bit odd about some things(polarizers, wife swapping, etc.), but I respect him as a driver and hope he stays active in the sport.

Honestly why should he retire
He is having fun. still drawing a crowd, and there is still fire in the old master yet Good on him I would love to see more of the retired drivers out there having ago who would love to see Brock Harvey Brock vs Leo, Harry Firth, Bondy, Moff, KB, Jane, Brabham, Carter, medecke,Longhurst The Lustys, the Lansvales Fury Frank Gardner LP Gary Rodgers Gibson Seton Sr and Jnr Bob Holden etc etc in a fairdinkum race not just Parade laps I was talking to Leo at the Clipsal one year when the old guys came out. He was saying the insurance costs of the original car out there was astronomical and they wern't allowed to pass or open them up. even thou it was tempting |

Agreed 100% smokinJ - Whether you love him or hate him - who cares!!! He should do whatever the hell he wants!
Regardless of his achievments, beliefs, personality etc, when you strip it all down, PB is simply a rev head who loves to drive - NO ONE should begrudge him that.... |

PB must be running slow for a reason, there is no way the GTV6 Alfa should be anywhere near him. Which car is Mr Van Wersch in? |

Back in the 70's Brock would often race at Baskerville in the B&D Auto's Plastic Beast XU-1 with 35 on the Door and in the L34 with 235.
so I don't think he gunna worry about to much 'Lowndes Fan' |

Think it's great to see Peter Brock out there driving cars, thats what he does best, and if he's still out there enjoying flinging a Torana or what ever around then good on him. You're only here once so enjoy it I say. Anyway, I tend to think Bevo had a lot to do with decisions that were made about not racing cars anymore.... isn't it funny now she's out of the picture that we see PB behind the wheel again. Whilst I dont want to see, or expect to see PB behind the wheel of a HRT Commodore again... i think its fab he's re-living the glory days in the cars he drove best.
