Best Meeting

This probably belongs elsewhere, but what the hey?

Now every race meeting seems to have their problems- too expensive, not enough races, crappy races, bad food, bad viewing areas etc etc and so on...

But what is the best race meeting you've been to in recent times/ever?

Which package to you like going along to? Do they offer value for money, and what would you do to realistically make an ideal race meeting?

Without doubt the best race meeting I have ever been too was the first Winfield Trple Challange at Eastern Creek in 1992. It was only spoilt by the over zelous curcuit commentators

I really like the PROCAR meetings.Action packed the whole day just like the good old days.I went to Symmons Plains and the place was packed[12,000 ].
17 events on with no extended breaks where there was no action.
Nations Cup, V8 BRutes and F3 are my favourites ,GT Performance and GT Production ,followed by mirage series.
A lot of serious racing on one day.
I,m going next weekend to their round at Queensland Raceway.

Hard to split two that have really stuck in my mind.

1) The September 2001 Victorian State round at Phillip Island. Action in the races, fine racing, and a HQ bingle you would NOT believe.

2) The Winton Procar round just gone. Procar really know how to run a meeting. Dont mess about, get the job done and see lots of different classes. Yeah maybe the fields could be bigger, but so what, 32 car feilds means nothing if the racing's boring. I'd rather 16 car fields with 4 4 car dices to 32 cars in single file any day.
