[Official] Australian Grand Prix - Predictions Contest 2023 - Round 3 of 23 - Results

So, here they are - the results of the Australian Grand Prix. Congratulations to wolfhound on winning.


What happened in Australia

wolfhound got the highest number of top 10 finishers, with 7. 8 out of the 15 entrants got 5 and everyone else got 6.

The obvious anomaly who didn't finish in the top 10, but who everyone predicted was Sainz.

However, no-one put Tsunoda (despite him finishing in 11th in the first two rounds) or Piastri.

Only TCT put Zhou (1 place out in 8th).

Only wolfhound and Teretonga included Hülkenberg (both in 9th, instead of his actual finishing position of 7th).

Verstappen was the driver most correctly predicted in his exact finishing position (13/15). Alonso was next - 7 put him on the podium in 3rd.

13 competitors put Verstappen on pole, but got no other qualifying positions correct. The other 2 entrants (crmalcolm and Aysedasi) also failed to get any qualifiers in the right placings.

11 people predicted Red Bull's fastest lap.

7 predicted Red Bull's fastest pit stop.

Only wolfhound and Teretonga opted for something other than dry race conditions (mixed).

Only wolfhound and Teretonga got that Pérez would win Driver of the Day.

6 put Alonso as Driver of the Grand Prix.

2 (Aysedasi and myself) got Aston as Team of the Grand Prix.

No-one predicted such a low Rate the Grand Prix score.

No-one got the 16-17 category for the number of finishers. There were several mistakes (16-18 and 15-17), which unfortunately meant these votes could not be counted. Please check your category carefully for this.

7 got that 1 would be the mode number of pit stops.

Just to clarify, is fastest lap judged on Driver or Team? Noticed that in all 3 rounds so far people have said drivers but the results have been the team.

Sorry if I missed this in the rules somewhere.

It's actually for the team. It used to be for the driver, hence the confusion. People are used to this.
