If Coulthard gets the same backing from McLaren as TGF gets from his team, and with just a little help from Hakkinen, I think that DC is perfectly capable of winning the Championship.

Well this may very well be a repeat of last year. So I'm not sure what to expect. It would be great to see him be WC, but I won't hold my breath.

Yes I have to agree it could definatley be the year for DC
Just as it could have been last year had the team not favoured Mika .
You won't get many people who agree with you on this forum they all seem to have blinkers on when it comes to seeing DC's obvious talent.
Just look at the poll drive of the race most voted for JPM even though he was only in it for half the race and only did one good overtaking move.

I don't necessarily agree with the favouritism angle costing Coulthard anything last year, because in my opinion the second best McLaren is still the second best car on the grid, at least for the last two seasons. As far as Coulthard being WDC, i definitely think he can do it. He doesn't necessarily have Mika's natural quickness but he does have a Racers spirit, which he has shown Schumacher on more than one occasion. Lets hope that he can do it.
If not i would like to see him go to Jaguar and be their No.1, because unlike alot of people i think Jaguar will be challenging soon, they just need a driver like Coulthard to help them along.

I have this weird feeling McLaren will invent some strange stuff to get Mika ahead of DC somehow...I don't know why...lol
