Entries are open...
who is going ?

I have entered
Lotus 22 in HFJ
Ralt RT1 in CF3
my usual and basic fare
no rare curio cars this time..

I love the "school is out" feeling of the Finals even if Silverstone in October tends to be windy and as cold as the proverbial witches body part

Got to go up for Historic Roadsports Driver's meeting, but waiting to hear from Delta whether I've got any budget left to race after the delightful surprise of my run at Goodwood!

Could take either TR5 to run in HRS, or Elva for FJ, might raid my daughter's piggy-bank to get one car out at least ...

Fantastic entry in the saloons - 40 in the provisional list - I didn't realise they could start so many on the club circuit. And the juniors have more with reserves.

The forecast is looking good - getting milder with sunny weather on Saturday and no rain expected.

I'd hate to be the commentators calling both BRSCC and HSCC races at Silverstone this weekend!

Axle back together, haven't had time to do repairs to wing so that will have to wait for winter lay-up. Car all checked & loaded, unusually I seem to have time on my hands so will take a slow dander up the M40 this afternoon.

Weather forecast looks good too , what can possibly go wrong?

Sunny but very cold in the wind.

Large grids in all races with a couple of additions helping the F3 race (Rudolf Ernst must have a good excuse for Brooklands on the 1st lap of qualifying), Jon Milicevic & Sam Wilson continuing where they left off at the Classic Festival, Ben & Benn in the FF1600s and good clean racing (from where I was watching) in all the races.

Roll on 2012 with the HSCC.

Bitter wind but very good racing.
That was some oil slick dropped by a Formula Junior in qually

Didn't like that two race meetings were being held at the same time as the National PA got drown out by the International circuit runners at times.

Really enjoyed the HSCC meetings this season and hope for more of the same next season.

I'll post some images during the week, once I've sorted through them.

Brooklands spin
clear case of overmotivation on cold tires....
a mistake to learn from
at least I got going again and did not cause a red
got into the groove again later in the session

A great day of racing, ending with a fantastic FJ race. Here is a pic of the top 3 early on in the race (before the light became too poor), there will be more to follow as I find time to sift through them.

Vince Frost wasn't happy with the way the handicap/ballast was applied to the Imps - although he managed 15 laps pulling the trailer

I think this experience has persuaded Vince to fit rear discs for next season - the driveshaft can still shear off, but at least the wheel remains attached via the caliper!
