Sato - entertaining to watch or what!!!
A lot has been made about Sato being crash happy and error prone.
However, come race day, it is difficult not to enjoy seeing him drive.. I normally keep an eye on drivers like JPM, JV and Sato during the race and most often than not, it is worth it.. the (half) move in Indy where he brakes unbelievably late trying to overtake Frentzen was typical! He does have a tendency to end up in the gravel most often than not, but it makes for solid entertainment.. Here in the US, we don't have access to the digital feed.. But if we did, the in car cameras that I would opt for would be JPM.. Followed very closely by Sato.. Especially Sato at the starts.. The number of positions he has made up should make SOME viewing!! In terms of sheer excitement value, he is my rookie of the year |

Sato is amazing. And when you think about it, he suffers bad luck far more often than mistakes.

Besides some of the jokers when has a Japanese driver never been unlucky? It would be almost historical if Sato broke the curse. But if he doesnt he'll still be one of my favs, kamikaze driving style and all.

I haven't seen Takuma onboard as far as I can remember, so I am looking forward to a couple of those clips. As I read your posts I get the notion you find him to drive spectacular and ragged, where as I thought Sato possesed the secret Japanese cocktail of driving fluent as well as aggressive at times. Brilliant.
When you take i.e. Massa, now in comparison to Sato he's aggressively ragged overcooking every corner .. One exception: at Hungary he was the suprise of the weekend as he showed there true mature flawless pace at such a technical track. |

Great to watch. The negativity towards him is, IMO, unwarranted.
He's from Japan, so? |

thats right....the negative stuff about him is most unfair i think ..the guy is just outstanding in a f1 car.....and he didnt even start driving until he was 20 ....only 5 years ago !..no 10 years of karting for taku !

He is a good driver and racer. However maybe he has trouble getting the setup of his car right. Who knows, with a second year in F1 he could start to show even more promise. RB was outclassed in all ways by MS last year but with the new car he seems to be able to put up a fight. I read that Taku loves to get into the technical aspects of the car alot too so maybe his input for next years car will bring him closer to his teammate. Hopefully Honda will not allow him to fall into obscurity if Jordan drops him. He does have a racers mentality which already, IMO puts him ahead of at least half of the current drivers.

There is somthing about Japanese drivers they are (usually) attacking and on the edge, how racing should be
Tora Takagi anyone? And there is also Paul Tracy, Colin Mcrae, JPM and Massa that just make racing great to watch |
