BTCC - Oulton Park

I know that some marshals follow this series around and just wondered whether there's going to be many non-Oulton regulars coming to play for the weekend?

I notice that practice starts at 8:30am on the saturday!

Alan Green should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
would have been, but funding issues have struck, so had to cancel

Shame 'cos I normally get a bit of action at BTCC Olton meetings, and I only get there once a year.

Make up for it another time I'm sure,
Al.

I went last year and and did not enjoy so wont be returning plus it is Saints VS Wigan so will be cheering on the Saints at the Millenium. Have fun playing catch with Formula BMW.

A few southern softies are coming up for the weekend. Nice to see a late start on Saturday and a lay in Sunday morning.

I will be there but as a spectator rather than in orange. I hope you all have a quiet and safe weekend but with FBMW and Clio's I'm sure there will be plenty to do

i have been to all three Toca meets this year so far, but sadly this wedding stuff is getting way close and the vicar wants to see us saturday and then be at church on sunday. grrrrrrr. so neither myself or my mrs will be donning the orange this weekend.
Just as a random thought at tracks where they have church break do you reckon it would please the congregation if 300 orange clad marshalls decided to join them??? sorry night shift the brain wanders

It would be even more impressive for yourselves to get married in orange, during the church break!

Should be there on the Sunday. Hope that tickets/details arrive earlier than they did for Silverstone (sat morning).

I'm doing both days, it'll be my 1st major meeting so it should be entertaining. Is anyone camping for the weekend, and if so are they going to arive friday night or way too early saturday morning?

Got my tickets yesterday!

New policy says that ONLY tickets will be accepted for admission rather than MSA/BMMC cards!

Is this a new policy for MSV circuits or just BTCC events?

I received my Instructions yesterday, but no tickets!!

I looked through the list and I'm nowhere to be seen.

Do I really need a ticket?

Ian,
I noticed that you were missing too!!

Also noticed that the BARC have demoted me (And many other Examining Observers)

In previous years, BARC paperwork has demoted our most senior Observers to mere trainees!

Ian - If your name's not down you're not coming in!!
You'll have to go shopping instead!

Last year I'd been promoted to Red badge from a Trainee - so it does work both ways!

Could still be things in the post. I received my tickets/instructions for Silverstone BTCC on the Saturday morning (good job that I was only doing sunday!). Didn't have me on the list for that one, names were being added at signing-on. Name's on the list this time though.

BARC are disorganised!

I would put a call into Karen Coddington.
Especially as the new policy says admission by ticket only!
