TrueBlueFlyer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
OZ/Kiwis going to USA for motorsport events?

Hey if anyone needs help planning their next trip to the US with motorsports in mind let me know. I got loads of free time and would be happy to help save you money

Obviously not the peak time to travel stateside but perfect time to start planning for next season

cheers,

In my opinion NASCAR/IndyCar are somewhat similar to V8 Supercar events, similar drunken crowds that show up in droves, while the others are typically less attended and often act as support races for the bigger events. I also feel that many of the support races offer a better quality of racing to experience and that includes both ALMS and Grand-Am, as well as World Challenge, etc.

I haven't had a bad experience yet, whether at Circuit of the Americas, Mid-Ohio, Mosport, Road Atlanta, NJMP, Lime Rock, or Watkins Glen. Similarly Detroit and Baltimore GP's were a lot of fun... all have their own different quirks.

Would love to visit some of the Classic US circuits, Road America, Mid Ohio, Road Atlanta, Mosport, St Jovite, Sebring etc. Indy of course would be a must and Long Beach as well.

Have been to Daytona but not during a race weekend.

I went to a NASCAR race in Chicago a few years ago - awesome!

I'm looking at maybe going to the Daytona 500 next year..

You should try Le Mans as well. Was there in 1987/89. Would love to go back someday.

A friend of mine was Head Mechanic on the McLaren when it won in 95. Proud Kiwi that day

Indeed, that's the plan for this year if I should be so lucky.
