Intersting rumour about Junior Johnson and HRT

A mate of a mate of a mate reckons that young Junior Johnson has been seen walking the halls of the hallowed HRT out at Clayton.

With his recent admission that he's 'on the market' and not discounting a move to Holden, could this be a serious option for him?

It's known in pit lane that relations between Dick and his offspring aren't exactly rosey, so nothing would p()ss the old man off more than taking up a seat at HRT (or maybe even PWR?)

Holden lose Brighty, but pick up Johnson junior?

Stranger things have happened.

Watch this space...

Would Jnr move to Melbourne with his own junior on the way?

So Mark is stepping aside then??? As Mark has already be record on channel 10 as saying Kelly is signed for next year!! And I don't think for one minute Mark is stepping aside!!

And Dick has be quoted as saying he wanted Jr to stay for next.. Plus there was a big article a few weeks back where jnr thanked his best friend (ie is dad) ... So how the relation is not rosey I don't know..

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I hope as a Ford fan that Jnr stay's with the blue oval, Either DJR or FPR. I think that with J.Bright and Jnr at FPR plus with Rob Benson FPR could do something in 05.

With Bright's deal, I hear the Ford cheque book is closed.

Jr will end up at a Holden team, I'm fairly sure of that.

Not HRT, but PWR or GRM are short odds in my view.

I'm sure Valvoline could see the irony.......

GRM is my feeling. He needs to get away from DJR to learn and prove he is not just there because of Dad.

What better role model as a picture of good health than Cam McConville if Jr did end up at GRM?

It would be an interesting sight, to see how quick the driver is in other equipment... instead of making up for a chassis with straight line handling instead

Does this put Luff back in the frame at DJR, or is there an Asian presence we havent contended with yet?

I don't think Alex Yoong is up to speed yet. I doubt Dick would gamble with him.

I agree it would probably be a good thing for Steve Johnson to spend a while somewhere else other than DJR if the offer was right. I also agree it would be interesting to have Cam Mc and junir in the same team. Good enduro combination too.

How do you reckon PWR, they only have 2 seats and they're filled by Weel and Murphy.

GRM and FPR and are the only candidates. Everything else is pretty much a done deal.

Tasman hasn't said who'll be driving for them yet have they? That would be a twist seeing it was suggested that Seton was going there before the DJR deal happened.
