BJAY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
More silly season rumours

The lastest is that Russell Ingall has had a dummy spit at CPR and has threatened to leave and take Castrol with him.
Aother rumours have said that he'll go to Ford, which I can't see happening, seeing as Ingall seems like a Holden faithfull.

Everyone must have forgotten that Bathurst wasn't the last race of the year, in light of all these "rumours" coming out.

Castrol Sponsor Larry not Russell. Ingall is just an employee of Perkins Engineering. I have a fair idea that Castrol are pretty happy were they are.

Not accepting this one either way BUT if Ingall were to leave Perkins and Perkins isn't delivering the goods - Castrol may not see them as the team to stay with.

Anyway - my little garden gnome told me that Bowe and INgall are going to team up in a unique Ford and Holden team (Ingall in the Ford) and CAT will sponser Bowe in the Holden and Castrol the Ford.

Go figure - April 1st is still 6 months away yet!

A little garden gnome hey?

Here's a bit of hot stuff- one of the Kmart drivers is on the outer to make way for a certain driver who shall remain nameless. Who will be leaving? I don't know...

Also, a bit of a scoop may well be a second BJR car for another certain nameless driver.

This is just getting flamin stupid!

With all of these drivers without names, the commentary should be interesting next year.

hahaha ..love it ..are they all leaving for Formula Ford ????

ohh did I say that.

I think you will find all of this will settle down and there wont be alot of changes..I dont really see the KMart team being split up at this stage ..maybe another year or two but not just yet..I think it is an AVESCO ploy to generate more interest ..get some rumours going to make the public try and work out whats going on ...damm good fun but I doubt it will come to much ...and if I hear the DJR plan to run Commodores ..then I am goona fall over laughing

but you never know ..anything is possible..pure entertainment though isnt it?

This morning I heard on Channel 9 that Jason Bright is on the move too. This begs two questions:

1) Will Jason head back to the States?
2) Can Mr Grech say, "Hello Mr Ingall, I'm Jeffrey, I'm from Holden Racing Team, and I would like to buy you a drink?"

Ingall and Skaife at HRT, and they think HRT are dominent now. That would be great to see.

I just had a thought which seems logical.

Ingall could very well end up in a TWR car, but with the Kmart team.

On another thread it said that one of the Kmart drivers was on the outer, and one of the sponser's at Kmart is Castrol, maybe if Russell joins the Castrol money will increase at the team.

We need to start an Official V8 Silly Season Thread to keep all these in...it's going off !

racer69 - I like your idea of Ingall to Kmart...Imagine Murphy and Ingall in the same team. For some reason though I think we could end up seeing 2 Kelly brothers at the Kmart team...maybe not for 2002 but 2003 ?

Also, is it just me or does Murphy seem a little miffed whenever he has to make an appearance like on V8 Superstars or other press related matters ?

A little birdie this morning informed me that Ingall has been offered the drive at Imrie Motorsport Team - something about possibly being cheaper that way...

yeah, then he can run himself off the road at Queensland Raceway.

At the moment, i wouldn't have a clue what is going on, how come all this stuff has started all of a sudden, this is more wild than an F1 silly season.

I think everyone forgot that Bathurst wasn't the last race of the year, this year, which is why the silly season's early this year.

Maybe with the championship battle basically over AVESCO wanted people to still be talking about V8s

Thats Tony Cochranes way, confuse evrybody and everything into hs wallet. I also heard this afternoon that Mark Larkham due to his money shortage will be heading to a 3rd car in the DJR tent. Run by Larko's guys but under the Dick Johnson banner. With TWR ever expanding maybe everyones following them. Interesting.

Re Kmart- Ingall or Bright aren't the names I've heard that have signed up there, but you never know...

Re Larkham- D.R.T.- That doesn't make much sense considering the crack down on three car teams- Larkham would have to use his own franchise still...I honestly get see any more cars added to the DJR shed (there are 5 already in there)...

They're used on a rotational basis...so they are basically being prepared all of the time.
