Lewis Hamilton
Not sure who watched the coverage of the Saturday FR race at Croft, but did you guys know that lewis won the Saturday race with only one rear Shocker ??????, Spoke with Hamilton senior about it after the race and a few of the manor guys, if it's true it just proves that all the testing, set-ups etc etc etc are no match for a class driver, how many other drivers on the FR grid would have lost 2-3 secs a lap in that senario and then blamed the car fault once it had been discovered, a true racer will identify the car has a fault adjust his driving as best he can and if possible push on, but to then pull out a small gap and take the win ?, class act. ( And a poke in the eye for the rest of us )
Well done Lewis. jensen. |

how serios was the fault on his car though. I do find it hard from an engineering point of view that he can keep the same pase with a defective car!??!
Wrong i may be, but are manor just over exagerating what the problem was. |

yep good stuff
I am reliably told it was the shocker mounting stud that stands up from the rear g'box casing, so effectively one of the rear shockers was disconnected completely, that rear corner would have been held up on the roll tension alone, I found it hard to believe as well, but I did note how hard his car was bottoming out of the chicane.
Re Alex new colour scheme, according to Susies mechanic it is due to new sponsor who wanted car in their colours, red. |

Yeah, Alex's new is the Isle of Man Tourist board - or www.visitisleofman.com Their colour is red, and that's fine by me - he's the only red car now and, although it confused me at the start of qualifying on Saturday, it's much easier to tell him apart from the other Motaworlds now.
As for Lewis' drive - or drives - stunning. The pace of both races was amazing - the average speed in the first, including standing start, was just over a mile an hour slower than the fastest lap, and in the second it was less than a mile an hour slower. There wasn't a single lap in round 8 that Hamilton didn't pull away from Rossiter. I just hope he doesn't run away with the championship now - I'd like to see a bit of a challenge. And just for interest, this is the 7th thread on ten-tenths to be just called "Lewis Hamilton", and the 5th in the Other Single Seaters forum alone. Shows how much interest there is in the guy. |

As to Alex Lloyd's newly-liveried car, it is, as Paul said, the Isle of Man colours - white on red. Not strictly the Tourist Board, a little more than that, but an interesting new initiative which is set to go live very soon, hopefully next week. Will keep you informed. Here's a couple of pics, taken by the infuriatingly-talented Jakob Ebrey: |

Team Isle of Man
another talented photographer...
P.S. The Team Isle of Man race car logo (which is made up of the letters IoM) must have been designed by some hugely talented guy, wouldn't you think? |

Now you've mentioned it I see it, but I didn't before. That's really cool. Think I've figured this sponsorship thing out now, but I'll leave it to you to explain, Jinxx. Hey, I don't want to be wrong twice about the same thing!

Lewis is a class act in uk FR, and as he is proving their is nobody now that can match him.

new circuit i suppose, and their scrutineers might let them get away with quite a lot more than ours do.
