More horses for TGF
Gazzetta is reporting a new Ferrari qualifying engine for Silverstone. Are they going for the biggest margin of victory ever?

Rubens has set pole at Silverstone once before in topsy-turvy conditions. Could he do it again (if it's topsy-turvy conditions?)

Yes, I remember that.
Silverstone, is recent years has been a dud track for the Schu. 1999 - Smashed wall, broke leg 2000 - Started 5th, ran EIGTH for half of the race, finished 3rd 2001 - Started on pole (I think), dropped to 3rd, practically let JPM and Mika through |

This car is going to be completely unbeatable now. RB will more than likely now be in second by the end of the running. How can Ferrari and MS be cought?

They could never be caught this year. As soon as the cars debut at a second per lap quicker than the Williams in race trim came about, the championships were basically over. Ferrari's continuous development and massive budget insured a continual flow of improvments, and testing daily thousands of laps at 3 different tracks at a time generates enough data for a CRAY supercomputer. Plus they have Bridgestone virtually exclusively (to the detriment of teams like BAR).
Perhaps Williams has to get a bit more adventurous for their '03 effort, as they need to make a major performance jump to compete more than occasionally. They could also use an exclusive tire manufacturer of their own. |

If it really is a qualifying engine, I guess they will use it during qualifications, not during the race. And during qualifyings, they have been beaten three times in a row. So probably they are just trying to get pole position for a change. |

They seem to have tricks just waiting to be used, I hope they run out soon. If they keep going the way the are they will have to have 2 classes .
