GTO Racing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
the Select GT Racing's turbocharged Porsche 911

© "flat 6 magazine"

Known as Porsche GT1 Turbo Enduro, that car was a special 911 based on a 993 chassis and powered by a 550 bhp 3.4 - 6 cylinders engine.

It ran for the first time at the last round of the 1996 BRDC GT championship.
On the Silverstone race track, it was driven by Colin Richards who failed to cross the line under teh chequered flag.

Its next outings came in 1997.
With Andy Charsley and Tony Trimmer at the wheels, it failed again to finish at Brands Hatch then Silverstone.

Did someone remember how that car performed ?
More generally, I'm interested with photos and all information about that car.
