British Charity Kart Race

Hey guys,

I am currently involved in organising a charity kart race featuring some of the best driver in the motorsport business. There are so many catergories that this falls under, that it is hard to know where to put this:

It is a one-day event that is raising money for Cancer Research, the best way to tell you more is to direct everyone to the official website:

http://www.theraceagainstcancer.co.uk

Cheers guys

Sounds like a superb idea; what's the chances of a media pass??

i'll still donate, obviously- i'm not that cheap!

What a great idea - and well done on getting all those drivers!

If you want any video work done, I'll offer my services for nothing. PM Me if you're interested.

hey guys, thanks for the support? Has everyone managed to get a ticket ok?

In terms of a media pass, if you send all of your acreditation details to our media e-mail address then someone will be in touch with you after reviewing your application!

We should also be announcing more drivers for the main feature race and the driver lists for the two support races as well over the next couple of weeks.

All it means is that Sutton Images are the offical event photographers, i.e the ones that can sell pictures on.

However, being so close to the action on the day and not a million miles away from the track like at silverstone etc, you will still get fantastic pictures from whereever you stand!

Just found a list of the line-up off the website. 100cc 2-stroke karts, should be pretty equal - track looks twisty too

Chaz Davies (MotoGP)
Kati Droste (SEAT Supercopa)
Maro Engel (British F3)
Romain Grosjean (Euroseries F3 Champion)
Chris Harris (Speedway Champion)
Sebastien Hohenthal (British F3)
Rob Huff (WTCC)
James Jakes (Euroseries F3)
Stephen Jelley (British F3)
Mika Kallio (MotoGP 250cc)
Jonathan Kennard (British F3)
Fiona Leggate (BTCC)
Katherine Legge (Champcar)
Stacey McMahon (Aussie 125cc Championship)
Alain Menu (WTCC)
Nicolas Minassian (European Le Mans)
Atte Mustonen (British F3)
Jason Plato (BTCC)
Alex Premat (DTM)
Bradley Smith (MotoGP 125cc)
Tim Sugden (Sportscars)
Henry Surtees (Formula BMW)
Laura Tillett (European KF2)

The track is quite twisty, but fast too

There's some great names there, I might be getting a free ticket, but i'll still donate anyway, otherwise it'd feel wrong!

plato should do well, short circuit karting has becomes more like bumper cars as time as progressed so plato should be well suited.

haha! There are weight limits, know they were scraping around for lead...?!

Villa is meant to be pretty nifty in a kart. Interested to see how Bradley Smith does...?

Big question, who will finish last...?!

either laura tillet will win being that she races karts every weekend or christo, but hell only win if his engines and tyres are illegal as he has proven before in the past!

things like that haunt you forever!
