I'm glad that they will be back....and PJ Chesson is a colorful personality...

But it'll be interesting to see how well they will do with PJ as the pilot...especially on the road courses

yep

because he has very little road course experience

i expect him to be well at the back with fellow non road course drivers Scott Sharp and Ed Carpenter (although he drove well at the Glen)

they could switch driver though for the road courses

similar to what DRR did last year

To be honest I never considered him to particularly good at any time. He has had his moments but he is getting on.

yeah, he's had his moments but not great

although, i have to say, he was mighty impressive in 05 in his first season with Fernandez

many podiums and a win at Kentucky

but 06, pretty average year

although

this new deal he has with Rahal has him moving into a team management kind of role after he gives up his driving

that could be a good move because despite not being the best driver in the series, Sharp has always managed to attract good sponsors

A bit of a businessman!

Back on topic, It'd bve really great news to have Fernandez back, or, better said, not lost for 2007.

Is there a possibility that Adrian could be the designated road course pilot?

Maybe, if the funding would still be there for it?

Good news anyway - I really didn't expect the team to survive as a full-time entry for next year. I didn't like PJ's attitude when Hemelgarn closed, but it's still good to have a short-track guy out there among the former road racers.
