any other cars joining or re-joining the fray? I glad we did not have to find a replacement round for this and ITV4 is happy as well. I get to see the changes on TV. can i have a time table for the event please?

If Paul O'Neill asked for a fiver off everyone he signed an autograpgh for, firstly most would pay and secondly it should keep him in the series , Great to hear he will be back.

Well that was a whole lot of fun (Race 2). Applause all round, esp. Plato and Onslow-Cole to name only two.

Anyone know what happened to Owy's Integra in race 3, commentators said he had to come into the pits and it showed +5 laps on the final results. With the coverage mainly focussing on the lead battles I don't think it showed him disappearing.

Best races of the season today, glad to see Donington back. My only complaints were the silly amount of time we lost in race one when O'Neill's car was being retrieved and the hurried safety car in race two which wasn't needed at all. I'm sure the first one was due to the circuit not having any rescue vehicles stationed round there, something that can be forgiven with the rush they had to get the place ready.
All set up nicely for Brands isn't it. |

Got back from Donington a while ago, the place is nearly the same as it was for BTCC last May. Not a bad thing but its clear where the place can be improved for coming years. And there was a decent crowd too, similar numbers to last year.
Alan Hyde tried to get an interview during the race, but Owy kept his helmet on, so I'm guessing he wasn't amused by whatever it was. |

Yeah, the best racing of the season, and great its happened at Donington.
In terms of number of people who could become champion, isn't this officially the closest championship ever or something I seem to remember the commentators saying? Bring on Brands! |

Poor Owy had a pretty grim weekend all things considered, especially after the efforts in the last 2 weeks to get the funds together just to make it to Donny. He looked understandably p!ssed off in race 1 when he was at the side of the track for ages, just hope they can get to Brands to end the season, fingers crossed. |

Race one, looked like Plato sent Neal sideways into the chicane, then crash, bang, wallop!

Fantastic race weekend... I thoroughly enjoyed that. Scintillating 'Soperesque' drive by Plato.

There was no radio coverage at Donington and I was struggling to hear the PA system so not entirely sure what happened during the day. To cap it all my Sky+ box failed to record to I'll need to wait for the highlights show.
However I have to say that drive of the day for me has to be Plato in race two. From third last to third overall could well be a championship winning (or at least championship saving) drive. |

12 hrs coverage for Brands so the Honda Racing Drivers can list all their sponsers when being interviewed, what a mess that car looks.
Plato's title to lose now, more games being played by TOC in race 1 to help Chilton it seemed, crazy tactics. If Im right Chilton has only beaten a teamate once in his BTCC career that being Arron Slight in 2002. Great to have Donnington back, shame about O'Neill but at least he made it out. |

However, Chilton did finish ahead of Gavin Smith in 2006, but was behind Giovanardi of course at Vauxhall - and it's fair to say he was outperforming Alan Morrison in the first half of last year before Arena swapped him out for Tom Onslow-Cole. |

Well whatever the situation with Chilton, and I'm not a fan of his by the way, he's put two front running cars on the grid this year, run very professionaly by Mike Earle, and given TOC a season's racing he probably wouldn't have had otherwise.

I still think their will be game played at Brands to ensure Chilton finishes as high up as possible to the determent of Tom OC. |
