Chris Burns
Does anybody agree with me that Burnsy is getting a raw deal with WCM , insiders say the bike he rides is not as good as Frabrizio ,s and he has to use second hand parts of the Italians bike "allegedly" also his "top" mechanic only has experience with motorcross bikes

Considering that Chris is older, more experienced, and had been with the team for a year, I'm surprised they didn't automatically view him as the lead rider and give him the best parts and engineer. What we've seen of Fabrizio marks him out as quite a talent, and I'm not sure Burns could keep up even with all things equal.

It gets worse for Burnsy, broken scaphoid in QP2 at Donington..........
Brave attempt to race ended in painful early retirement after a handful of laps. Fabrizio does look to have something special, it will be interesting to see what ride he gets next year. Peter Clifford did reveal that WCM are building a V6 for use next season in conjuction with a Czecho engineering company Blatter[?] |

Will there be any Protons for them to race against at the back?
You've got to hand it to WCM, carrying on the fight even though they can rarely get off the back row. There are some real racing men in that teama nd tehy all give 110% effort. I hope it comes off soon. |

Harris WCM are trying hard, but I'd like to know where they are getting the funds for this new bike.
Fabrizio is the real deal and everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. I'd like to see him on a competitive bike because he's putting that WCM machine in places it shouldn't be. As for Burns, he's been completely outclassed by Fabrizio all year but I hope he manages to at least get over the injury and put in some finishes just to help his confidence. I never rely on what 'insiders' say. It's clear the team think Fabrizio is the better bet. |
