ALMS GT Z4 suspension

I was reading in Racecar Engineering about the ALMS Z4 Gt car and it mentioned about being built with strut front suspension which would be changed to double wishbone later in the year when the rules change. Its the first I heard of any changes and cant find anything on the net, can anyone shed some light on the rule changes?

Sorry, I really don't know. I can imagine BMW was allowed to change the wishbones because of a technical waiver (like the bodywork and many other things)...
