simple: Volkswagen takes over the series !
so they have a full range of Volkswagen racing series in Asia. the 2 litre TFSI engine carries a lot of Parts from the successful Volkswagen F3 engine, including the BOSCH MS4 Racing ECU. sources in Germany say that engine can go easy for 10K km before rebult, unless its gets some crazy revs under downshift ! so engine costs will be a very minimal item in season budgets. if anybody interested message me , i can supply full info |

As far as I know there were no problems with the Fiat engine, so I hope it stays like this and the price for rebuilt won't go up and the budgets stay the same.

Is the JK Racing Asia series on in 2013 or is Formula Master China the main junior formula in Asia now?

Official website is here. The series looks set to be on, with FAW-Volkswagen behind it, they are certainly properly funded. JK Tyre Racing Series is organized by MAL in Kuala Lumpur and they had not held a single race in China last year. Formula Masters China has a China focus, although they race in Korea and Malaysia, too. An invitational race in Macau has been added on 10 November.
Macanese young driver Andy Chang Wing Chung will also take part for the season. |

I think you will find that Andy completes his KF series with Tony Kart and then will probably run in a few car races in Europe before possibly racing at Macau in Formula Masters
