Will Boost go too? Or will the invitation be rewritten for a Stanaway return?

Intriguing. Was it because the couldn't afford his salary demands? or JC realised it was going to be a looooong season with no pace in the cars.

I think so too, very much so. No big hoopla team car/s launch or anything grabbing the headlines all over the place, very last minute with the second car, the whole thing seems like a totally unorganised c*ck-show, which is probably why the original money-man ( Rod Salmon? ) decided not to go ahead with the team. I really hope this doesn't wreck Pither's career, because he is too good to suffer with these fools.

His statement says his relationship with Boost means they will be seeking opportunities elsewhere. I guess Boost are gone too. This Team Sydney thing is going well...

Le clusterfeck!
I reckon the teams budget was blown when Courtney tangled with turn 8. Seamer will blame it on CoronaVirus. |

Boost have confirmed they are out of Team Sydney as well, with no backing for any replacement at Team Sydney... but they will back James wherever he chooses.
Adderton had a bit to say about Team Sydney too. https://www.speedcafe.com/2020/02/29...f-team-sydney/ |

Depending how impactful the rotating sponsor model at BJR may be, it may be an opportunity to get Boost branding aboard one of the 2 main cars, with the brand name pilot steering, while one or other of the current main game pilots wanders up to step into the primary customer BJR car.
Arguably no downside... (displacing one Boost driver for another too.. perhaps) Wonder if Mr Courtney is still drawn towards team management.. Mr Seamer must be moderately concerned at developments around Team Sydney also.. |

The whole thing has been a bit fishy for awhile, from being on then off to back on, to the amateurish unveiling of the Coke sponsorship when it was trailered without a cover. Not the way Coke would normally make a sponsorship announcement, you wonder if there was anything much more than keeping the drinks fridge at the track filled. Noticed the truck was still carrying Tekno signage at Adelaide, have they relocated to Sydney after round 1 as planned or still on the Gold Coast?
Last year Adderton was pushing a youth policy squeezing Tander out of GRM in favour of Stanaway, this year his beneficiary is the oldest driver in the field. Go figure So where could JC land in the enduros? 888, DJR and WAU have all confirmed their line ups, although obviously these can be fixed with money.Think he has bigger problems than a back of the pack team disappearing, nonetheless a field down to 22 won't be a great look if Tekno falls over. |
