rFactor demo?
Hey there,
I downloaded the rFactor game from their site thinking I could "try it out" before I made a purchase, but alas it seems I cannot do this as it wants me to activate it right from the off. Is there a demo out there at all? |

Doesn't seem to work, at least for me. Tried it a few days ago.
So I downloaded the GTL demo and found to my suprise it plays well with graphical settings set to high, with a 6600GT graphics card. Anyone know of a GTL cheat to unlock the cars in the full game? |

the multiplayer test is still available here > http://www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=downloads but the games moved on loads since then. It really is worth the cash, the net code is the best in any game i've played.

yeah, the demo is actually more of a netcode-test, the physics and such have changed a lot since then.

I wonder, can someone show me some mods too, I heard there is / was a WTCC mod out for the game, is this just a car and skin mod, or is it tracks also?
Are the mods produced by the developer of rFactor or are they "fan creations"? |

fan creations .. haven't been in touch with rF mods lately .. but best rfactor mods are EuroF3 .. now integrated in the game .. with different name .. there is a Porsche SuperCup mod .. also a GP2 mod ..
wtcc mod.. don't know . but it seems there is a TC2000 .. a south american touring car series .. tracks can be downloaded separately |

Cheers Dani, however I have a few questions, if you or anyone else wouldn't mind answering as I would really like to buy this game, but have a few reservations...
1.What tracks come included as standard? 2. What race car series come as standard? 3. The tracks which you download, are they made by fans, or by the developers? (and are they accurate?!) I would really love a WTCC or other touring car type mod, having played the multiplayer demo I quite enjoyed just thrashing around that one track all on my lonesome. Is there a track list available? Can you race on the Nordschleife? Thanks guys. |
