Oaksnaf should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
VMRC - Calder Park

This weekend at Calder Park the VMRC categories take to the tarmac, on what will hopefully be a dry weekend.

Im not quite sure of what the entry list looks like, whether it has grown in stature since Winton remains yet to be seen.

Ill be there Sunday, and maybe Saturday, wearing a yellow vest that amazingly gives me track access. Should be able to grab a few handy snaps from the last few corners.

Anyone else going? And does anyone have an entry list?

Unfortunately I won't be there, someone has to hold to Fort at Winton.

There is a VicDrift meeting on there this Sunday.

You are correct Silver it's a Porche and it looks like it has a secret class of its own

Kerri-- sorry about obtuse post-- time is wrong, car is wrong. Add about 10 seconds and change car to Westfield Clubman -- not Porsche.

I never knew how bumpy the last turn was at Calder, standing (alone) on the outside of the circuit just before the entry to the final corner I noticed that the Porsche 944 of Beams got its right front off the ground, something the other Porsche's weren't able to do.

Mr.Coon (who is not driving a Commodore, silly natsoft) was almost turned around by Gooch, went left, went right, went left, then managed to straighten it up for the final corner.

A few mis-haps in terms of weighing in have left the BMW class short a competitor or two, then another blew a head gas kit in the morning, so they are down a few already.

Im not sure whether we will have 10 under 2 litres by the end of the weekend, but that certainly doesn't belittle the racing up front between Jamie and Shane Brown, with a fantastic battle for third in a safety car ridden race.

I arrived late on Saturday, so what happened to Tracey Moulden in the HQ's?

Ill be out there tommorow, hopefully not missing the turn-off on the way home though!

(And yes RaceSafe do 'Race')

and Silver should know what's a Porsche or not. Me thinks this is amazing that there is hardly no posts from Silver until a thread is started about his beloved State Series.

Bump-drafting is commonly known in NASCAR, but it took to affect in the BMW race where one of the four Stillwell's decided to bump draft up the back straight and into the braking points where he shoved the competitor off the road and into the gravel.

It was certainly a good day on Sunday with plenty of racing despite only four categories.
